Saalih is a full-time freelance indie director in the film and world of social media, aspiring to be his own Hollywood Director. Not only has Saalih leapt into the world of feature films, but he's also made waves in the commercial and events space, blending his cinematic vision with the demands of the commercial industry, as well as world renowned companies and creatives such as "Muslim Belal," rapper and Hollywood director;"Tariq Jamil" world renowned Islamic Scholar; "Mufti Menk"; award winning chocolatier "Aneesh Popat"; powerful activist and speaker running for MP "Leanne Mohamad"; and Saudi commercial "John Hopkins Aramco Hospital" Saalih's first major international shoot.

Saalih Chaudhry is a British Writer, Director and Founder of NowPictures. Through the years of filmmaking, Saalih has found a strong passion for telling stories from underrepresented backgrounds and injustices towards different groups of people through his diverse ethnic background.

"Directing was never something I learnt" . Since the age of 6 I would always be that one kid in class daydreaming about all the possible stories I could bring to life in just a single mathematics classroom (Guess math does get you somewhere). From shooting films in my garden with a phone, to establishing Now Pictures, this journey has been one that truly shapes who I am today. In the beginning I was never too sure if I should go down the path of a filmmaker, after all, my school was very keen into promoting "university is the way to success". Deep down reason told me that University was not my true path, but I did not listen to reason. I went down the same path that all nine hundred and ninety six students did that year.

University...It was exactly how I imagined, dull, demotivating, excruciatingly useless to what I was doing outside. I felt like I was being pulled back a year from the knowledge and experience I already had in filmmaking. I had only ever done a full year of studying film, and that was at Ghetto film school. This "Film" school was never really one that I imagined would have an impact on me, but it allowed me to put my skills to practice from making multiple short films, to working on an international film in Amsterdam. It was truly an immersive experience, one that I would never forget, but I knew it was time for me to go my own way and take on bigger projects. I knew what I wanted, and that was to go out into the film world, to recreate my passion into a live moving image that people could see, in the the intended way.
