From the beginning of the history of the television medium, situational comedies have been an integral part of the popularization of the technology. Sitcoms have existed across the entire history of TV, and still continue to capture audiences through popular series like Abbott Elementary, George & Mandy's First Marriage and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Some of the best sitcoms of all time are part of the first few decades of television, series that continue to hold up to this day. Old-school sitcoms capture the comedy styles of the decades that they were produced in, but the classic format of the genre makes all of them easy for modern audiences to dive straight into.

Allen tried everything to impress Madison, spending thousands of dollars on a new wardrobe and Invisalign to improve his appearance.

Antiques Roadshow has plenty of big moments when people learn more about the history of their valuables. However, in one episode, the woman who brought a painting to get appraised had a history lesson to deliver, and it was a message that left the woman in tears.
Here is what her painting was and why her story was so emotional.
Woman Brings Unique Painting Onto Antiques Roadshow

Outlander season 7, part 2, is on the way, picking up after several big twists and turns in part 1. Jamie, Claire, and the rest of their family have certainly gone through a lot since the series began, with hardly any time to breathe between each subsequent disaster. Still, as Outlander begins to head toward its eighth and final season, these characters are doing their best to establish a happy life for themselves in both the 18th and 20th centuries. Something always manages to get in the way, however, and the disasters of Outlander season 7, part 1 will undoubtedly result in more twists and turns in part 2.
The events of Outlander season 7 are based on Diana Gabaldon's seventh and eighth Outlander books, An Echo in the Bone and Written in My Own Heart's Blood. Split into two parts, the first debuted back in June 2023, detailing the events following Claire Fraser's arrest for the murder of Malva Christie.

Kelsey Grammer is currently enjoying a great deal of success with the revival of "Frasier," a series that has been running on Paramount+ since October 2023. The original "Frasier," itself a spinoff of "Cheers," starred Grammer as the titular character, a radio psychologist whose persnickety attitudes and tastes invited all manner of zany shenanigans into his life. The original show lasted 264 episodes over 11 seasons, making it one of the most successful sitcoms of its decade.
But, as many might be able to point out, Grammer's career has been wildly varied in success. He often shows up in films, yet he has headlined far more bombs than hits. Grammer has played Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast in several live-action "X-Men" movies, but he has also appeared in a slew of weird, low-budget, straight-to-home-media schlock. Who could forget, for instance, the bizarre glories of Andrew Lawrence's "Money Plane"? Grammer has similarly starred in numerous low-rent Christmas movies,...

The American TV-movie has gained a bad rap over the years, but there was a time when folks looked forward to these flicks — and not in an ironic sense or a need to hate-watch.
That period of kinder and less cynical viewership was surely in the 1970s and ’80s when the made-for-television movie became more widespread. The “movie of the week” format took off in the former decade, with the major networks at the time devoting blocks in their schedules to these standalone, small-screen features. And one of the more revisited genres was horror. Duel, The Night Stalker and The Night Strangler, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, Trilogy of Terror, Are You in the House Alone?, The Initiation of Sarah. These are just a few of the classic telefilms that scared a whole generation of viewers.

Tucked within the crowded streets of Manila lies a heartwarming tale of two unlikely companions, just trying to find their way. Lolo and the Kid introduces us to a pair of homeless grifters, known only as Lolo, or “Grandfather,” and his young friend simply called Kid.
Played brilliantly by veteran actor Joel Torre and newcomer Euwenn Mikael Aleta, these two bring light to each other’s lives despite their unfortunate circumstances.
Lolo takes the boy under his wing, and together they rely on their wits to survive on the streets. Through clever cons, they manipulate sympathetic families for money and goods. But beneath the schemes, a true bond forms—one that provides solace in an unstable existence. As the two spend fun-filled days enjoying the spoils of their scams, it’s clear they deeply care for each other.
Not everything is easy, though. Kid desires stability and education that their transient lifestyle can’t offer.

A controversial elimination on The Challenge: Battle of the Eras outraged viewers, as Horacio Gutierrez went home early.
Episode 4 presented a confusing situation with the elimination outcome, and even castmates appeared as if they didn’t know whether Horacio won or his opponent, Derrick Kosinski.
Their elimination event, called Pick It Up, required placing 40 pegs or jacks into a gameboard on the other end of a tall structure featuring a long tube.
Competitors needed to throw a ball on one end of that structure and let it roll toward the other. From there, they collected pegs from the sand and had to catch the ball on the other end as it dropped out before putting the pegs into slots on their gameboard.
It was a close race at the end, with footage showing Horacio walking over to his board to place his final peg. Meanwhile, the footage didn’t clearly...

Nurys Mateo appeared briefly in MTV’s The Challenge: Battle of the Eras as part of a stacked team of Era 4 competitors.
Among the castmates on her team were former champions, including Jenny West and Kaycee Clark, as well as finalist Theo Campbell.
She was also there with her boyfriend, Horacio Gutierrez, for Season 40, admitting they spent much time away from castmates due to their relationship.
However, they had limited time together due to Nurys’ elimination in the first few episodes.
That left Horacio alone to compete for a win, with only friend Kyland Young as an ally.
Following the events of Episode 4, Nurys called out “lies from production” based on what she saw during the footage.

‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&r) spoilers here and we’re ready to kick off a new week, and it’s a doozy.
There’s going to be a good mix of drama and pleasantness in this episode. And we have plenty of spoilery goodies for Monday, June 17 to share.
It looks like things aren’t going to go as smoothly as Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) planned for her takeover after Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) suffers a heart attack.
While Audra deals with being outflanked by a heart attack, Alan Laurant (Christopher Cousins) will ask Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) to dinner.
With a cool contrast like this, we expect this to be a fun episode. Let’s dig into some spoilers!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Monday, June 17: Master stroke or real heart attack?
Tucker’s not going to like learning that everyone’s turned on him.

"Nice dick!" It doesn't take long to realize that "Sacramento" might just be the funniest — and most charming — surprise of the year. Some indie films take a little while to get going, opting for a meandering and slow-burn approach that can test the patience of even the most seasoned moviegoer. This is not that kind of indie.

Freya Allan shines in 2023's Baghead, proving she is one of Hollywood's biggest prospects. Baghead explores trauma in a unique way, with a tragic villain seeking revenge through dark means. Baghead subverts expectations with a shocking finale that showcases the consequences of toxic masculinity and the price of seeking closure.
The following contains spoilers for Baghead, now available to rent digitally.
When fans learned Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes would continue the rebooted franchise, many were excited over Freya Allan being cast. She acquired a fan following after her role as Princess Cirilla in Netflix's The Witcher. She also had a following from stints in Gunpowder Milkshake and HBO's The Third Day.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is set after the reign of Caesar and features Allan playing Mae aka Nova. It had many intrigued, given that another Nova appeared in the rebooted trilogy as a child.

As Baby opens, the title character, whose given name is Wellington, has a taste of freedom for the first time in nearly two years. He’s ending his stint in a youth detention center, a place with the grim industrial aura of a high-security prison — but also one where there are occasional breaks for drum-and-brass musical performances. Freedom presents particular challenges for Wellington, who discovers upon return to his working-class São Paulo neighborhood that his parents have left the city. There’s no forwarding address. Stepping into the void is a man more than twice his age, offering a confusing tangle of care and possessiveness as lover, mentor, business partner and paternal protector.

More photos from the set of The Witcher season 4 have found their way online and they offer up a first look at Freya Allan's return as Ciri along with her new companions, The Rats.
As Redanian Intelligence explains, this is almost certainly an adaptation of a scene from the books which sees The Rats ambush a baron's carriage in Nilfgaard. It appears Ciri cuts the throat of the baron's daughter, suggesting she's heading down a darker route in these episodes.
However, this is likely in response to the fact the woman's father is among those who hire Leo Bonhart to hunt Ciri down.
The Rats have also been spotted: Ben Radcliffe's Giselher, Christelle Elwin's Mistle, Aggy K. Adams' Iskra, Fabian McCallum's Kayleigh, Juliette Alexandra's Reef, and Connor Crawford's Asse. Once upon a time, they and Ciri were going to take centre stage in a...

Potential spoilers for The Witcher season 4.
Trigger warning: mentions of sexual assault and manipulation.
Ciri's first romance in The Witcher season 4 comes from the books, showing commitment to the source material. Ciri and Mistle's relationship is toxic, showcasing themes of manipulation and sexual assault. The Witcher season 4 must carefully handle controversial themes to avoid sparking more controversy.
The Witcher season 4 will be key to Ciris (Freya Allan) story, and the tease of her first romance fixes one of the shows biggest problems, but it can also create another one. Started way back in 1968, the Planet of the Apes franchise has come a long way from its simian roots. After reboots and new iterations, the series ushered in a new direction following Rupert Wyatt’s 2011 flick, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which introduced the character of Caesar.
Now more than a decade later in actual life and about 300 years as per the lore, the latest edition, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, starring Freya Allan has kick-started a new saga.

In the twist of proceedings, as Allan’s character gains center-piece attraction and starts becoming pivotal to the story, easter eggs can be drawn to her all the way back to the start of the franchise.

A lot happened in Outlander season 6, episode 6, with Claire nearly dying and Malvas killer still at large, leading to a major mystery surrounding Malva's death. Malvas murder came after much of Outlander season 6 had been spent painting her character as calculated and manipulative yet motivated by her fathers religious zealotry and heavy-handed discipline as well as her half-brother Allans overprotective nature.
Considering these elements, it made sense that Malvas character would be seeking a way out of her life and would set her sights on Jamie as he is, by far, the most successful, wealthy man around. Claires conversation with Malva later in Outlander season 6, episode 6, however,...

Liam Hemsworth faces an uphill battle stepping into Henry Cavill's role as Geralt in The Witcher season 4, but Freya Allan believes in him. Hemsworth understands that Geralt requires heart, not just brawn, to succeed, but criticism and comparisons to Cavill will be challenging. To win over fans, Hemsworth must embody Geralt's essence and hope that the writing in The Witcher season 4 aligns with the original material.
Liam Hemsworth won't have an easy time stepping into the role of Geralt in The Witcher season 4, but based on the comments from costar Freya Allan, he will do just fine. The latest entry into the Planet of the Apes franchise introduces a new era in the struggle between apes and humans. After centuries that saw the rise of the former and the fall of the latter, apes are at a new apex in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, with humans so scarce they're known by some only as the "Echo." As humanity slowly dies, the apes follow in their behavioral footsteps with sometimes disastrous effects.
In this setting, Noa (Owen Teague), a chimpanzee who has lived a sheltered life, must leave the safety he once knew as he attempts to rescue his family and friends. Along his journey, he meets his very first human, Mae (Freya Allan), whose final destination is the same as Noa's. Noa is understandably wary of Mae, a human who clearly has her own agenda, and is keeping secrets from him.

Approximately 300 years after the events of War for the Planet of the Apes, Apedom has entered a new stage of its evolution. Caesar is long dead, but his influence and words live on in some parts of ape society, corrupted or misunderstood. Like the humans before them, ape society has evolved to varying degrees, with some living closer to nature, and others attempting to utilize the remains of human society for their own ends. This is the setting for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, a film director Wes Ball and 20th Century Studios hopes will start a whole new chapter in the Apes story.
The film centers on the character of Noa (Owen Teague), a young Chimpanzee who belongs to the Eagle Clan. They're a small group of chimps who live in concert with the Eagles they raise and train,...

Freya Allan as Nova in 20th Century Studios’ Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes. Photo courtesy of 20th Century Studios. © 2024 20th Century Studios. All Rights Reserved. Although Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is a sequel to 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes, it takes places hundreds of years later, so the film’s cast is all new, featuring The Witcher’s Freya Allan in its primary human role. As a young woman who partners with a chimpanzee on a hunting mission, Allan’s character is involved in plenty of the film’s action. And, although she had the option of using stunt doubles during the filming, Allan insisted on doing as many of her own stunts as she reasonably could.
