Tony Heino has a 15 year background with advertising agencies, commercial films, documentaries and factual entertainment. His true passion has always been with drama storytelling and in 2021 he had his big break with his debutante film "Deceived".
In spring 2022, Heino wrote and directed his second feature film "Routa". The film had one of the most remarkable cast ensembles in Finnish film history, including Jouko Ahola (known from Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven, Alvaro Brechner's Mal día para pescar and Werner Herzog's The Invincible) and Samuli Vauramo (known from George Clooney's The American).
In 2024, Heino released four feature films in one year, including "Routa", "Gate 44", "Faster: Only one lap" and "Odile: Opening before Christmas". This makes him one of the most productive filmmakers in North Europe.
Heino has helped to establish Film Coalition, which is partnership between several film companies and entertainers. Film Coalition has been established to serve especially the needs of OTT entertainment and streaming platforms.
Heino has been quoted to say: "Our vision is to create character driven films that move further with compelling storylines."
