Award winning writer, producer & director, 2 x published author of acting books, as well as audition coach, presenter coach, on-set acting and performance in business presentation coach and acting teacher, as well as a guest teacher and lecturer around the world; Paul Parker has a wide roster of clients. Born in London, UK, Paul grew up in Melbourne, Australia. Working as a teacher at acting schools and studios since 1990, Paul has developed a distinct and comprehensive technique and a professional philosophy that has evolved into a book that is now known as "Acting The Australian Way"; a book that was released worldwide in 2022. Paul's 2nd book, "Acting On Camera The Australian Way" was released worldwide in 2023. Paul has taught in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Osaka, Tokyo, Beijing, Hainan, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Gold Coast - all in person, as well as online in Brisbane, Perth, London, Seoul and other USA states. Paul has taught at Universities, TAFE Colleges in Australia and acting schools in the USA, Australia and Japan. Paul has also taught at two Universities in China. Paul began working in television as an actor as a Changi prisoner on The Sullivans in Australia in 1979. Paul graduated from University in 1991 with a Bachelor in Education in Literature, Language Linguistics and Drama from Deakin University / Victoria College - Rusden. As an actor, Paul was a Best Actor winner for a television screen role at the Ballarat South St., Eisteddfod, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia in 1998 and soon after was cast in television show Neighbours. Paul moved to Sydney in 1998 where he got his biggest breakthrough on screen, that of playing the lead role of Bruce in the feature film Eloise. Paul has acted in 33 films. Most of these films have been student or young filmmaker films; uncredited on IMDB. Paul moved to the USA in 2000 where he acted in some television pilots and short films, The Young and the Restless on television and in the feature film Windtalkers. Paul also won an award on stage in 2002 at the NAACP Awards in Los Angeles with Ben Guillory & Danny Glover's Robey Theatre Company. Paul began writing for the screen in 1999. Paul began directing actors show reels in 2015 and film in 2017. Three of Paul's short films have been directed in Japan with Japanese actors. Paul began producing film in 2018. As of 2025, Paul's production company, Player Productions, is working on both film and television projects.
