Vinita Venugopal is an Indian actress and Kathak performer known for her work across Malayalam and Hindi film and television. She has appeared in acclaimed series such as Rocket Boys (Hindi, 2022) and the biopic Srikanth (2024), where her performances were noted for their authenticity and emotional depth. In the Malayalam series Jai Mahendran (2024), her portrayal of Menaka, a government office clerk, was well received by both audiences and critics.
A senior disciple of Guru Uma Dogra, one of India's foremost Kathak exponents, Vinita has performed widely in India and abroad. Her classical training shapes her approach to acting, bringing a grounded expressiveness and physical precision to her roles.
She began her acting journey through college theatre and later trained at the Jeff Goldberg Studio in Mumbai, where she completed a diploma in Method Acting. Vinita holds a Master's in Performing Arts (Kathak), an engineering degree from Amrita School of Engineering, and an MBA from MICA (Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad).
