JT O'Neal received an MFA in screenwriting from UCLA, where he won the prestigious UCLA Screenwriting Showcase, the Alfred P. Sloan award, and the Carl David award, with three different scripts. His short films have played at over 100 venues around the world, and his first feature film, AU PAIR, KANSAS (retitled THE SOCCER NANNY), had its world premiere at the Kansas City FilmFest where it won the best Heartland feature film award.
He is also a Harvard-trained physician, has a masters of public health, and is residency-trained and boarded in Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He recently retired as a Lt. Colonel and Senior Flight Surgeon from the Kansas Air National Guard, and has consulted for the USAF, Army, Navy and the VA. His graduated from the University of Kansas, with honors in history of art, and his photographs are included in major museum collections, including MOMA in NYC, the Library of Congress, and the Princeton Art Museum.
