Biography

Ivan Iler is a Michigan based actor who has made a name for himself in the metal sculpting art world, and is now returning to one of his first loves; acting and filmmaking.

"I started acting as a child in community plays. It was always something that I enjoyed. It not only made sense to me, but it felt good to find someone else in that moment... you know, to actually put myself in someone else's life completely... to actually be someone else in that moment, all of their feelings, desires, insecurities... everything that makes them who they are. That always felt special to me. Even as a little boy, I felt the richness of human emotion as something so raw and beautiful. Being able to explore that in the theater was absolutely a core memory for me."

As Ivan grew, he turned his attention more and more to the world of art, stepping away from the stage to focus on building out and running a successful metal fabrication studio. In 2019, his work caught the eye of producers for Netflix's 'Metal Shop Masters' where he went on to win first runner up going head to head with some of the best metal artists in the nation.
