Brilliant Minds Season 1 has only a few episodes left, so it makes sense that the NBC show is planning ahead for a potential Season 2. Season 1, Episode 10, "The First Responder" is an hour that excels in worldbuilding, making the world in and around Bronx General Hospital feel much bigger. While it touches on some predictable themes, there's enough new material that audiences get excited about not only what's happening, but what could happen in the future.

"The First Responder" focuses on a paramedic named Katie, who happens to be an acquaintance of Dr. Oliver Wolf and his team. But when she becomes their next patient, the dynamic shifts between them. Meanwhile, a previously iffy plot twist comes good and the addition of a new character in the show's flashbacks makes them even more relevant.

Fans of Eevee will love the new official Pokmon series, which began its release on Nov. 21, 2024. This series is a "choose your own path" story where audiences can influence what happens as the plot progresses.

Pokmon and especially Eevee fans are excited about the new mini-manga series, which features Eevee and its many evolutions (or "Eevee-loutions)." Via Japanese news site Oricon, as readers go through the story, there will be pages where the manga asks readers to choose what happens next, allowing fans to get the chance to steer the plot by going to the page corresponding with their desired choice. This means there will be many ways to read the same story by making different choices in each read-through.

Among all the creatures in the Pokmon franchise, there's none more iconic than Pikachu. For this reason, the electric mouse is returning to a major donut chain, along with another Pocket Monster that's going from an underground hit to a delightful delicacy.

Japanese franchise Mister Donut is bringing back its Pikachu donut this year, and fans in Japan will want to "Volt Tackle" their way over to get a taste. Along with the franchise's mascot, there will also be two other Pokmon-themed donuts. While one is the familiar ball that houses the monsters, the other is the perfect confectionery replica of another Gen 1 Pokmon.

Nov. 3 is a day with an unfortunate update for Pokmon lovers, especially those with a penchant for some of its newer anime installments starring Ash Ketchum. Fans just have a few more days to enjoy Pokmon Journeys: The Series and its follow-up seasons, as Netflix is pulling a total of four parts of Journeys, three parts of Master Journeys, three parts of Ultimate Journeys and the final season, To Be a Pokmon Master: Ultimate Journeys, from its streaming platform.

These arcs have been revered by fans since their original airing thanks to culminating stories, epic battles and distinct moments of emotional growth from Ash, Pikachu and company. Journeys marked a new era as Ashs journey spanned multiple regions, aiming to claim the title of Pokmon Master once and for all alongside Goh, a new travel partner. The Netflix-streaming installments quickly earned fan-favorite status for mixing nostalgia with fresh concepts and animation styles.

The contest, founded in October 2023, provides a global stage for artists and fans, as well as a platform for fresh interpretations of classic Pokmon iconography. The official Pokmon Trading Card Game website hosts the full gallery of winners for fans to admire. 2024's top honors went to Minami Kazuki, whose devastatingly gorgeous rendition of an adorable yawning Pikachu garnered unanimous praise. Brilliant Minds promises a talented cast of interesting characters who will help tell intriguing stories. NBC's newest medical drama features a renowned neurologist who has face blindness, a condition which makes it impossible for him to recognize faces, who is leading a team of interns in a prestigious teaching hospital. The protagonist is based on famous neurologist Oliver Sacks, whose real-life story was told in Awakenings, a 1990s movie in which Sacks was played by Robin Williams. The series will be partially based on Sacks' real-life exploits, though many of the medical cases and characters will be completely fictional.

NBC's take on Sacks' life will premiere on September 23, 2024 at 10 Pm Est. The concept may appeal to the same audience that watched all 7 seasons of The Good Doctor, as the two shows share the idea of a brilliant doctor who has career challenges related to his neurodivergence.
