Actor-singer Shannon K, who is the daughter of veteran singer Kumar Sanu, paid a soul-stirring tribute to the late legendary composer Bappi Lahiri by recreating ‘Jimmy Jimmy’ from the 1982 movie ‘Disco Dancer’.

Shannon, who has collaborated with Bappa Lahiri, son of Bappi Lahiri, for the track, said: “When I met Bappi uncle on his birthday, he promised to call me soon for a song recording. Unfortunately, he fell ill shortly after, leaving us all in shock.”

Actor Rohitashv Gour, who is best known for the sitcom ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’, opened up on the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, and talked about the traditions that his family follows, revealing about this year’s preparation.

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated on the Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. This year it will be observed on September 19.

Talking about the festivities, Rohitashv, who plays Manmohan Tiwari in ‘Bgph’, shared: “We celebrate this festival every year. Our family has been following the tradition of bringing a Ganesha idol home for the past few years. This tradition started with my sister, who always brought an idol of Ganesh ji to our home. Our celebrations are very warm and affectionate, as we spend the day with family and close friends.”

Actor Arjun Bijlani, who will be soon seen in the upcoming television show ‘Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya Shiv Shakti’, plays a neurosurgeon in the show which is a modern take on the legend of Shiv and Shakti.

Based in the spiritual capital of India, Varanasi, the show is a tale of love, showcasing a modern-day interpretation of the Shiv-Shakti dynamic. This contemporary take explores whether Shakti will become the support system that can heal a broken Shiv through the power of love.

Talking about his character, Arjun said, “I had to say yes to the show simply because of the character I am going to play. It is very different from the roles I have played in the past. Shiv Thakare, who is known for his stint in ‘Bigg Boss 16’, has visited the Siddhivinayak temple here to seek blessings of Lord Ganesha before commencing shoot for the stunt-based reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 13’.

Expressing his gratitude towards the makers of the show for giving him an opportunity, Shiv said: “Seeking Bappa’s blessings at Siddhivinayak has always been my tradition before starting any new venture. Lord Ganesha has always been my guiding light, and his blessings are crucial for me to take on any challenge.”

Shiv, who has also appeared in reality shows like ‘MTV Roadies Rising’ and ‘Bigg Boss Marathi 2’, was recently seen as a guest commentator in the Ipl match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals.
