Biography

    • Michelangelo Rizal Maharlika (Milo) was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and made his first on-screen appearance at 6 months old in the film Broken Hula, which premiered at the 2014 Hawaii International Film Festival. Milo has been studying the arts for as long as he could remember: acting, singing, dancing, martial arts, fine arts (drawing, painting, poetry, and spoken word).

In Hawaii, Milo worked on iconic shows Hawaii Five-O, Magnum P.I., and several films shot on Oahu: Triple Frontier, Press Play and Taika Waititi's Next Goal Wins. Milo also starred in Ikaika and The Good Father, which premiered at the 2020 Hawaii International Film Festival and the 2021 Made in Hawaii Film Festival, respectively.

During the pandemic, Milo's family moved to Thailand where he trained extensively in theatre, scene study, Shakespeare, improv, dance (ballet, hip hop, jazz, K-pop), music (piano, ukulele, drums and harmonica), and martial arts (Muay Thai, MMA, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Eskrima).

From 2023-2024, Milo played the role of the young revolutionary Gavroche, touring through 50 cities in the U.S. and Canada in 19 months on the Les Misérables Broadway North American Tour.

In 2025, Milo was cast as the iconic ghost boy, Demi Hauntley, in Disney's live-action series, Vampirina: Teenage Vampire, based on the beloved children's book and Disney Jr. animated series.

Milo lives in Los Angeles and continues to train in scene study, fight choreography, wire work, parkour, tricking, tumbling, dance and mime. He also studies and performs improv weekly at the LA Connection Comedy Theatre.

When not working on professional projects, Milo loves spending time with his family, playing with his two younger siblings, watching films, going to the beach, and trying new restaurants. He also enjoys playing music on his ukulele and piano, creating art, singing and dancing.

Milo also participates in workshops with Aim4theHeART, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization that teaches the youth emotional literacy through music, poetry and the arts. He loves to create and collaborate and his ultimate goal is to inspire others and affect positive change in the world.
