Lifetime is back with another can’t-miss thriller!

The network is expanding its smash-hit Ripped from the Headlines “Girl In” franchise with Girl in the Attic, premiering Saturday, June 14 at 8/7c — and it’s set to be one of the summer’s most gripping watches.

Starring Yes, Dear’s Jean Louisa Kelly, rising star Sophia Carriere (Girls Like Girls), and Bates Motel’s Keenan Tracey, Girl in the Attic dives deep into the dangers of oversharing online — and the unimaginable strength it takes to survive when the unthinkable happens.

(Xanthe Elbrick/Karolina Turek/Courtesy of Lifetime) A Story of Survival — and the Power of Unexpected Bonds

In Girl in the Attic, Kelsey (Carriere) is a determined young woman grieving the loss of her mother. Hoping to honor her memory, she sets out to run a marathon and shares her journey online — but her inspiring story soon catches the wrong kind of attention.

Image

Curtis Moore & Tom Mizer photographed by Xanthe Elbrick

by Tom Mizer

The Contestants: Tom and Curtis have been songwriting partners since meeting at Northwestern University. This may or may not have been before computers were required at college.

The Oscar Winning Song Game: Without looking in advance, the contestants will receive a range of Oscar Winning Best Songs. They will each have 30 seconds to peruse the list. When time is up, they will text the other the song “they wish they had written.” After years of working together, will their choices match? If not, they will have a short period to discuss and convince the other of the wisdom of their selection, hopefully arriving at an agreement. This may end their partnership.

Ladies and gentlemen, the transcript begins:...

Venus Flytrap: a Femme Noir Mystery

Written by Anthony Dodge

Directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge

The Active Theater, NYC

Through November 14, 2010

It is New York in 1943. Most men are in uniform and women are doing many a "man's job." Thus we find "Butch" Diamond (Xanthe Elbrick), called upon to be a private dick for the deviate underclass.
