The official website for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Masakazu Ishiguro's slice-of-life manga Nemurubaka released a main trailer and visual today. The site also confirmed that the film is set to release in Japan on March 20, 2025 . Nemurubaka Live-Action Movie Main Trailer (via: Cinema Today official YouTube channel ) Main Visual Ishiguro's original Nemurubaka manga ran in Tokuma Shoten's Monthly Comic Ryu from 2006 to 2008, then was compiled in one tankobon volume. The story focused on Yumi Irisu and Ruka Kujirai, who live in the same room in a women's dormitory during college. Irisu has nothing to devote herself to and spends her days working part-time at a used bookstore. Ruka is always broke, but pursues his dream as the guitarist and vocalist of an indie band called "Pete Moss." The two spent their days drinking at cheap izakaya, and watch old foreign dramas to pass the time. Their days are slow but somehow comfortable.
