Giselle Miller is a Jamaican-Canadian writer, actor, and filmmaker. She has had the privilege of living in Jamaica, the United States and Canada which have all informed her unique perspective of the world and translates into her work on the page and on screen. She comes from a large family of over 25 aunts and uncles and more than 100 cousins.
Giselle fell in love with storytelling at a very young age and won her first writing competition at the age of 13. After completing an MFA in Creative Writing at UBC, she was the show-runner for two seasons of the Leo Award-nominated web series Young, Single and Black and the award-winning web series Yolanda the goddess.
She produced Vancouver's first Black queer web series Novelette is Trying, which had its world premiere at the Vancouver Queer Film Festival '24. The series was licensed to OUTtv.
