Samuel Lampaert

Although I live in Belgium, the subjects of my films don't always have an obvious connection to my region. My goal is to reach the widest audience possible. After working in various jobs, starting as a photography assistant, cameraman, video editor, and director employed by Belgian television channels, I decided to self-produce my first short film shot in 16mm. The reel is still in my garage and represents my first rather obscure attempt, but one that was nonetheless useful for the author I've become. Since then, the journey has continued to evolve, albeit too slowly for my liking, of course.
