Rafaela Goncalves

Rafaela Goncalves is a trilingual actress and producer who grew up in Brazil exploring all parts of her performer self: acting, singing, playing musical instruments and dancing at her own little shows that she would put up for her family and friends. It was no surprise that, after high school, she wanted to move to the US to officially pursue an acting career, and so she did. After being accepted into several schools, Rafaela went to AMDA (Los Angeles) where she got her BFA degree in Performing Arts with honors. During her time in college she was able to not only improve her performing skills but also tap into her writing and filmmaking skills, which led her to pursue her MFA degree in Producing and create stories instead of just being on them.

During her MFA studies, Rafaela wrote, produced, directed, acted and even edited over 20 projects. In addition to having her own short film "If the Shoe Fits: Love is Pain", she is also in the process of financing her first original feature film, based on the book she published in Brazil at the age of 15. Rafaela is also one of two Executive Producers at Green Carnation Films, an international film company based in Brazil that tells queer stories in multiple languages in a unique way. Her productions have the goal of featuring diverse talent, deconstructing stereotypes, and telling stories about self discoveries and transitions from childhood into adulthood.
