Bobby Rush is an 85-year-old Grammy winning and legendary R&B, Soul, Funk and Blues artist with the energy and performance style like he's in his prime. Rolling Stone calls him "The King of the Chitlin' Circuit" for his constant touring and vibrant live show on a circuit that has been home to Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, James Brown and other black entertainers.

Mainstream recognition came when he earned his first Grammy nomination for his 2000 album Hoochie Man. He later won a 2017 Grammy for Best Traditional Blues Album for Porcupine Meat. Sitting on Top of the Blues, his 26th studio album is certain to extend his winning streak, and promises to further spread the news that this revered legend is bigger, badder and bolder than ever.

Bobby Rush has earned 12 Blues Music Awards, including the B.B. King Entertainer of the Year Award and Album of the Year. He co-starred in the 2014 documentary Take Me to the River alongside Terrence Howard, Snoop Dogg and Mavis Staples. That same year, he had his late-night TV debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He was the first bluesman to perform at the Great Wall of China, attracting over 40,000 people and earning him the title "China's Ambassador of the Blues." In 2006 he was inducted in the Blues Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone named his 1979 LP Rush Hour one of the Top 10 Blues albums of the 1970s. Songs he wrote have been recorded by an array of artists including Wyclef Jean, B.B. King, James Brown and The Staple Singers.
