Went to an open casting call for Universal Pictures 8 Mile (2002) to be an extra and was later chosen to play a featured character. Given the quick casting decision Rockey's character name was referred to as 'Rocky' without the 'e'.

Trained by acting coach Richard Goteri (Second City: Detroit/Lee Strasberg Institute).

Filmed two films nearly simultaneously alongside fellow actor Sam Logan Khaleghi including the psychological drama "An Apology to the Dead" and comedy/drama Approaching Midnight (2013). Approaching Midnight was also written and directed by Khaleghi.
