Mark Vanis
- Actor
Mark became interested in acting at the age of seven when he realized his passion for entertaining people with storytelling, acting out characters, and having an overall desire to make people laugh.
His first experience in front of the camera came in high school when he was cast in an independent made-for-school movie. This encouraged him to take theater classes which lead to him auditioning and being cast in the school's productions of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, The Grapes of Wrath, and The Great Gatsby.
In March of 2014 he was brought on as an intern on the Las Vegas production of Evil Dead the Musical at Planet Hollywood where he worked his way up to being assistant director for a short period of time. Mark also got his first professional acting experience being cast as one of the master of ceremonies deadites for the show. He later went on to be the stage manager for the production of Sordid Lives at the Onyx theater.
In the years following, Mark took a break from acting/show production to focus on his career in professional entertainment lighting as an inventory control manager. In June of 2021, Mark decided it was time to try his hand at acting again and auditioned for his first feature film in which he was cast in one of the lead roles.
Continuing to pursue his dreams, Mark became a student at The Voice Actors Studio in May 2023. He continues taking classes and is also a student engineer with the studio where he gets to work more with the coaches and students.
To help improve his craft, expand his skillset, and get more experience, Mark pursued roles in student and independent films. Mark has been cast in projects with BNI Media Group, the International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT), UNLV, and the College of Southern Nevada (CSN).
