Jessica Jones is back in action, and Krysten Ritter is sharing how it feels for the Pi to be rejoining the MCU!
Before the current wave of Marvel Cinematic Universe shows on Disney Plus, Netflix was the first to showcase a small-screen Marvel universe. It began with Daredevil before moving onto Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. That led to the four street-level heroes coming together in The Defenders.
Sadly, as Marvel and Disney exerted more influence, the Netflix shows were cancelled and eventually removed from the streamer. Thankfully, the characters are returning as Daredevil: Born Again has acted as a direct sequel to the Netflix show, with Charlie Cox back as The Man Without Fear.
That had fans excited about the possibility of some of the other Netflix heroes coming back. Those hopes were met as it's confirmed that season 2 of Born Again will have Krysten Ritter reprise her role as super-strong,...

That’s right, Dexter Morgan is officially back from the dead (again), and he’s ready to hit the streets for some new kills.
The last time we saw Dexter (spoiler), he was shot dead by his own son, Harrison Morgan, in “Dexter: New Blood.” Just when fans thought their beloved serial killer’s storybook had finally closed, we got an inkling that the timid and kind murderer might still be breathing in the opening scene of the prequel series “Dexter: Original Sin.”
This time around, the series introduces several new faces and welcomes back some of the OGs from the original “Dexter” series. Check out the main cast in “Dexter: Resurrection” below.

[This story contains major spoilers for the series premiere of Dexter: Resurrection.]
Dexter Morgan died once before, born again as a lumberjack and eventually an upstate New York man about town. What’s one more resurrection between friends?
After getting fatally shot in the heart in the 2022 finale of Dexter: New Blood, Michael C. Hall’s outlandishly lucky serial killer-killing serial killer once again stalks the land, thanks to the latest entry in the franchise, Dexter: Resurrection.
The series premiere (the first two episodes began streaming on Friday) reveals how Dexter survived a point-blank gunshot wound to the chest, leveled his way by son Harrison (Jack Alcott), thanks to the violence occurring in the midst of radically cold temperatures. Just a few degrees warmer and Dexter would be as dead as all the villains he’s killed in the past. Instead Resurrection finds him alive, if not exactly well, as he suffers through an existential end-of-life crisis littered with ghosts...

Dexter Morgan is alive and, mostly, well. The energy of his resurrection was palpable on the carpet of the “Dexter: Resurrection” world premiere Wednesday night in New York City’s Alice Tully Hall.
The latest installation of the “Dexter” universe follows Dexter Morgan, reprised by the original actor Michael C. Hall, who has essentially come back to life after being shot in the chest by his son Harrison and announced dead. That is until Hall decided he was ready to come back for more.
“Michael Hall came to me and said, ‘Can you figure out how to unkill me?’” Phillips told Variety. “I put a lot of thought into it and called Scott Reynolds, my top writer, and we Zoomed for about a week. And we figured out how to do it.”

Earlier this year, we finally got confirmation that Krysten Ritter will be reprising her role as Jessica Jones for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, and the actress has now teased her return as the hard-drinking Pi during an interview with Screen Rant.
As you might expect, Ritter didn't get into plot details, simply noting that she is "thrilled to be back in Jessica's boots. There's more story for her and it's really exciting."
"Oh, it's gritty," she added. "It feels big too. The crew's amazing. I've had an amazing experience. I can't say anything, but I love being with Charlie [Cox]. It was as if no time had passed. Like, my first day, I was looking around like we're back. Darkly Dreaming Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) makes his third return to television this week, in the form of Dexter: Resurrection. It’s unlike New Blood, a so-so return for his character confined to a miniseries, and Original Sin, a decent prequel for the killer that is turning into its own thing. This time, it’s a real, honest-to-goodness return of the character that feels much more like the original series, in mostly great form.
Dexter: Resurrection Review
Resurrection takes place almost immediately after the events of New Blood. Spoiler: after being shot by his estranged son, Harrison (Jack Alcott), the Bay Harbor Butcher was seemingly dead. Paramount clearly loves the character too much to leave him be, so in the freezing cold of Iron Lake, he survived.

The course of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was forever changed with the introduction of the Disney Plus series. The heroes and villains we were used to watching on the big screen were suddenly on our very own doorstep. The only problem? The superhero giant has rarely followed up on many of these stories.
Loki and What If...? were fortunate enough to be renewed for a second season. Furthermore, new episodes of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will be released next year. But aside from those few examples? WandaVision, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, and many other TV series have been relegated to one season, and one season only. Even the recently released Ironheart doesn't have a promising future in this regard. So, is any project ever breaking the pattern? Well, why don't we ask the Devil of Hell's Kitchen himself?
Daredevil: Born Again ended on a high note that perfectly set up better things to come.

The dream of bringing back Marvel's Defenders was given new life back in May with the announcement that Krysten Ritter would be joining Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 as her grizzled, whiskey-downing P.I. Jessica Jones. Viewers haven't seen the character since Season 3 of her solo Netflix series, when she resolved to keep up her heroic work, even though her foes had been dealt with and the show had been canceled. While plot details have been kept under wraps about her return to crime-fighting next year, Ritter has finally been able to open up about what to expect from her character after so many years away. Speaking to Collider's Tania Hussain for Dexter: Resurrection, the actress hinted at a Jessica Jones renaissance that will bring action and layered storytelling alike to the Devil of Hell's Kitchen's Sophomore MCU outing.

Note: This story contains spoilers from “Dexter: Resurrection”
Michael C. Hall has been gracing our screens for nearly 20 years — and he’s about to be back at it again as the titular serial killer in “Dexter: Resurrection.”
The Paramount+ with Showtime continuation follows the events of 2021’s “Dexter: New Blood,” which itself built upon the original series that ran for eight seasons from 2006 to 2013 on Showtime (and that’s not to mention this past season’s “Dexter: Original Sin” prequel on Paramount+.) So what is it exactly about Dexter Morgan that won’t let him die in the eyes of fans?
“People really enjoy watching Dexter get into impossible binds and find his way out of them. I think it’s been proven that what they don’t like is when, in one way or another, he’s punished. I think he has a resiliency that people enjoy and they...

There's been chatter about Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter making her official MCU debut for at least the last three or four years. However, it wasn't until this past May that she was confirmed to reprise her most iconic role in season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo once seemed likely possibilities for a Jessica Jones cameo, and it was widely reported that Ritter came close to shooting a cameo for the latter. Unfortunately, that was scrapped when it became a standalone "Marvel Spotlight" series, branding that Marvel Studios has since seemingly moved on from.
Regardless, after the largely disappointing second and third seasons of Jessica Jones, fans are excited to see Ritter get another chance courtesy of Marvel Studios. However, there may be much more to her MCU future than a supporting turn in Daredevil: Born Again.
We recently shared a rumour about possible plans...

The Netflix hit series, Daredevil, set a brutal tone for how Kingpin operated as his battle for control of Hell's Kitchen raged with Matt Murdock. Vincent D'Onofrio's turn as the white-suited crime boss was spectacular then, and has since continued into the Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again. Three months after the series' premiere, the show continues to drive conversation online with the latest bit of discourse centered around the portrayal of Wilson Fisk. After the confrontation between Charlie Cox’s blind hero and the crime boss in the nine-episode first season, one fan of the franchise has criticized the character’s supposed "nerfed" handling.

Several actors from the original lineup have already expressed excitement about the possibility of returning, including Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), and Finn Jones (Iron Fist).
As the MCU continues to integrate street-level heroes, fans are eager to see whether Marvel Studios will bring back the entire Defenders crew for a long-awaited reunion. Could Marvel finally be giving us the MCU crossover we’ve all waited for? It could finally be happening, it seems!
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has seen its share of ups and downs over the last few years. Just as it looked like the franchise was unstoppable following the game-changing, box-office-dominating Avengers: Endgame, it has hit the skids and is no longer the consistent force that it once was.
Some of the reasons for Marvel's recent inconsistencies are beyond the McU's control, like the pandemic, the 2024 Hollywood strikes, and parting ways with Jonathan Majors (which forced Marvel to drop Kang as the Multiverse Saga's next big villain). Although it appears as if it's back on track, there is still concern about the creative direction for the franchise as they build to Avengers: Doomsday.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has the potential to bring back this oft-forgotten Netflix Defenders character. One of the most exciting developments with the second season of the Charlie Cox-led series is confirmation that even more of the Netflix Marvel universe will begin bleeding into the new Disney+ Daredevil revival. With the reveal that characters like Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones will be returning to her Marvel role in the upcoming episodes, it feels like the potential is limitless for who else could come over from Netflix's time with the franchise.

After years of fans asking for it, Daredevil is finally getting his classic “Dd” logo on his suit. The update will show up in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, and fans are already excited.
Charlie Cox, who plays Matt Murdock, will now wear a costume that’s more faithful to the comic books, something fans have wanted since the original Netflix show.
New videos from the set showed a much clearer look at the updated suit. Unlike earlier blurry photos, this time the red “Dd” letters are easy to see on the black costume. The footage also showed a scene being filmed at Josie’s Bar, with Daredevil entering the bar in the middle of a fight. While it’s not clear who he’s fighting, it could be a returning villain.

Daredevil fans have been waiting a long time to see the famous “Dd” logo on Matt Murdock’s chest, and it looks like the wait is finally over. After years of complaints that the original Netflix series left out this key detail, Marvel Studios has finally given Charlie Cox’s Daredevil the iconic emblem in the upcoming second season of Daredevil: Born Again.
Previously leaked set photos show Cox, or more likely his stunt double, wearing a black version of the suit that reminded fans of the Shadowlands comic storyline. Those first pictures were blurry and taken from far away, so it was hard to tell if the red “Dd” letters were actually there.
But then videos have surfaced online, giving us a much clearer look. This time, there’s no doubt about it: the logo is there, and it’s front and center on the costume.

So, how exactly did we pick the top 15 kids movies on Netflix right now? What was the methodology used? The approach was twofold. One, each movie needed to have a good-to-great critical score on Rotten Tomatoes. And two, a mix of personal preference and general audience reception toward the films played pivotal roles in the final selection. Of course, not everyone will agree on all the movies chosen for this list, but hey, this doesn't mean you can't enjoy what you enjoy. Love it all. Hate it all.

A Daredevil: Born Again editor recently revealed there was one Marvel series the team was instructed not to watch when reviving the show. The first season of the series premiered on Disney+ earlier this year.
In an interview with Awards Radar, Daredevil: Born Again editor Stephanie Filo talked about how the show's creative team were told to not look at the previous Daredevil Netflix series when working on Born Again. "[T]he original take on it was to lean away from the Netflix Daredevil show. They actually told us not to watch the Netflix show, because they didn’t want to affect how we were editing it," Filo shared.
After the creative vision for Daredevil: Born Again was figured out, the team was able to look back at the show's predecessor for reference. "Once we restructured everything and figured out we would do a different take on it, we dove back...

Daredevil: Born Again made the controversial creative choice of sidelining Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) for its first season. Serving as a continuation of Netflix's Daredevil, the series brought back Woll as well as fellow series veterans Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio, Elden Henson, and Jon Bernthal. The initial vision for Daredevil: Born Again only included Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, but the series received a substantial creative overhaul to shift it from a reboot to a continuation. Because of these changes, its first season was split into two.
Both Woll and Henson have little screen time due to being late additions to the cast. From the start, Henson's character, Foggy, was planned to die as an inciting incident for how Matt has changed since Netflix's Daredevil. Because of Foggy's death, Karen and Matt become estranged. She later re-enters the season alongside Bernthal's Punisher,...

Fans of Jessica Jones have been waiting a long time to see the super-powered private investigator back on screens, and it looks like they could be getting more than expected if a new rumor about Krysten Ritter’s popular Marvel character turns out to be true.
Ritter originally played Jones in her own Netflix series, and subsequently crossed over with other Marvel Television shows Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, as well as the joint Defenders series. When Marvel Studios shut down Marvel Television, it looked like the end of the road for the group of New York vigilantes, much to the annoyance of fans.
Now, following the return of Daredevil, Jessica Jones will be joining the MCU in Born Again Season 2, and has already been spotted on set filming alongside Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock. It seems, though, that this is not the only project set to feature Jones,...

Ever since Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 premiered, Charlie Cox has become one of the MCU’s most beloved stars. It’s no surprise that he has fans of all ages, from longtime comic readers to a new generation discovering Daredevil for the first time.

Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter has long been rumoured to make her MCU debut, but it was confirmed last month that she'll finally reprise the role in Daredevil: Born Again season 2.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo seemed likely possibilities once upon a time, and it was widely reported that Ritter came close to shooting a cameo for the latter. Unfortunately, that was scrapped when it became a standalone "Marvel Spotlight" series (whatever happened to that branding?).
Following the largely disappointing second and third seasons of Jessica's solo series, fans are excited to see Ritter get another chance courtesy of Marvel Studios. However, there may be much more to her MCU future than a supporting turn in Daredevil: Born Again.
According to scooper Daniel Richtman, Marvel Studios is considering developing a new Jessica Jones TV series. We'd imagine that hinges on the success of the Man Without Fear...

Before Disney+ became the main home for Marvel’s superhero stories, Netflix quietly created its own shared universe called The Defenders Saga. This collection of shows included characters like Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.
These series were known for their darker tone and complex characters who faced difficult moral choices. Jessica Jones, in particular, stood out for its deep look at trauma and identity through the eyes of a tough private investigator.
For a long time, fans weren’t sure if these Netflix shows were officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, recent Marvel projects such as Echo and Daredevil: Born Again integrated these characters into the MCU.

Before Disney+ expanded the MCU into the powerhouse it is today, Netflix quietly built its own interconnected superhero world known as The Defenders Saga. This collection of shows, including fan favorites like Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, introduced darker, grittier takes on flawed, complex heroes navigating morally gray worlds.
Among them, Jessica Jones stood out for its exploration of trauma, power, and identity through the lens of a tough, anti-hero detective.
For years, fans have debated whether The Defenders Saga should be considered part of the official MCU. The lines have grown blurrier with recent Marvel projects such as Echo and Daredevil: Born Again, which strongly hint at integrating those characters into the broader MCU narrative.
With Charlie Cox’s Daredevil officially confirmed to be reintroduced into the MCU, it was only a matter of time before the rest of the Defenders started making their way back.

Dexter: Resurrection director, Marcos Siega, is calling things a wrap — literally. The executive producer and frequent helmer of the newest chapter in the long-running small-screen franchise took to social media today to share the news that filming had officially ended. In a style true to the subject matter, Siega shared an image that showcased him standing next to series star, Michael C. Hall, as both men loomed overtop a body wrapped perfectly in plastic. Both Siega and Hall are holding some torturous tools, while Hall looks pensively at the man laid out before him. In the caption, Siega wrote,
“That’s a wrap on Dexter Resurrection!
I’d post a recent pic but they are all too spoilery. So here’s me, Dex, and Little Chino (in a wrap).”

Picking up from the events of New Blood, the much-anticipated mystery thriller is once again returning with a new series titled Dexter: Resurrection. Needless to say, the series is going to be quite an exciting one where Michael C. Hall’s Dexter Morgan goes on a quest to find his son, all while controlling his dark desires.
Hall’s character would continue moving forward on his raw, primal instincts, and fans hope that the new addition leaves no stones unturned. In the process, giving a fitting end to his character after 19 years.
With many possibilities following the newest addition to the thriller franchise, one question remains: when and how many episodes will the new show feature? But more importantly, when will each episode be released?

Daredevil: Born Again was the Daredevil season 3 that most fans wanted, but if that was good, then it feels like the next batch of episodes will be great.
Showrunner Dario Scardapane will be in full control for Daredevil: Born Again season 2, meaning the series should feel more like the premiere and final two episodes than the truncated Muse arc or divisive bank robbery (which even Charlie Cox hated).
New photos from the show's New York set have surfaced today, this time showing Cox and Krysten Ritter on set (presumably before getting into costume as Matt Murdock and Jessica Jones). Michael Gandolfini, who plays Daniel Blake, was also spotted, suggesting these three might share the screen at some point.

Two 2026 projects within Marvel Studios' reboot of the Marvel projects that originally premiered on Netflix have been confirmed to include two anti-heroes, now that one character has been announced to be joining the franchise. Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock and Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk were the first characters to make the jump from Netflix's Marvel franchise over to the MCU. Daredevil: Born Again brought more characters back, and is set to include even more Netflix characters when Season 2 releases in 2026.

‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Will Not Repeat New Blood’s Worst Mistake as Episode Synopsis Hints Brutality
In the upcoming revival series Dexter: Resurrection, Dexter Morgan’s resurrection isn’t just literal—it’s essentially a creative rebirth that evades New Blood’s misstep by doubling down on what works: visceral storytelling and multiple seasons’ worth.
Resurrection picks up mere weeks after Dexter was shot by his son, Harrison. Dexter will be seen on a quest to find his son, while he navigates his personal dark urges. The sequel premiering on July 11, 2025, will open with brutal momentum, as the episode synopses suggest. It’s evident from the descriptions that the writers are leaning into what made the original series compelling: moral ambiguity, tension, and gritty violence, minus the aimless meandering that was seen in New Blood.
Dexter: Resurrection is set to bring back the Og brutality
Where Dexter: New Blood earned criticism for stalling Dexter’s journey and dragging its narrative, Resurrection promises high stakes and immediacy.

Last month, we learned that Krysten Ritter will reprise her role as Jessica Jones in season 2. We haven't seen her play the character since Jessica Jones ended with its third batch of episodes on Netflix in 2019, so she becomes the second Defender to join the MCU.
A new look at Ritter in costume as the hard-boiled P.I. has been revealed today, and it's as if she hasn't aged a day. The actor is expected to have a major role as Jessica in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, and like Jon Bernthal's Punisher, there's every chance she'll get a spin-off of her own down the line.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been on a recent streak of bringing back characters we thought were long gone. Just when we assumed the story of both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker was definitely over, they suited up for one more ride in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Furthermore, many actors from the original X-Men movie will reprise their iconic roles (albeit as different variants) in the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday. Finally, we can't forget about the Devil of Hell's Kitchen himself, who now has his own Disney+ series after his Netflix adaptation was cancelled.
It's been nice to see so many familiar faces steal the spotlight on the big and small screens yet again, and the best part is that this is only the beginning. Marvel recently confirmed that yet another Defender will make its MCU debut next year, as Krysten Ritter will be back as Jessica Jones...

What once seemed impossible is now a reality. Daredevil: Born Again has made Netflix's Marvel series MCU canon. The show's first season brought back Jon Bernthal's Punisher, and featured an Easter egg referencing Luke Cage. Season 2 is taking things one step further by bringing back Krysten Ritter as everyone's favorite Pi, Jessica Jones. With that exciting return lined up, there's been speculation about Mike Colter's Luke Cage and Finn Jones' Iron Fist also making their presence felt in Born Again's second chapter.
Though Colter's Luke Cage was generally well-received, Jones' Danny Rand was another story. His take on the character failed to resonate with audiences, and his show didn't fare much better, either, often considered the weakest entry in Netflix's ambitious slate of Marvel series. Still, despite such struggles, Jones is eager to return to the role. Speaking at a convention in early 2025, the actor asked...
