Along Came Wanda - Jane Fae - 17439
Constance Brenneman
A memory jogged by a teapot from an old lover quickly turns into an adventure of discovery for Mary Beth Higgins (Constance Brenneman) and her newfound friend Wanda (Cathy DeBuono) as they hit the road in Wanda's soup truck. If that sounds like the set-up for a madcap comedy, that is to do it an injustice. Also, to miss the point.

Along Came Wanda does have its madcap moments, many delivered by Wanda herself in her role as 'disruptive element'. However, it truly is a lot more thoughtful than that. Also, a bit New Age, a bit late hippy.

It has its comedy moments: but mostly it is about the Journey, with a capital 'J'. First, there is the literal journey, as Mary Beth is on the verge of finalising her divorce. She needs time to explore her new life post-marriage. How better than on a road trip with Wanda?...

First Trailer for Thriller 'Silent Panic' About a Camping Trip Dead Body
"You gunna bury it?" Indie Rights has debuted an official trailer for an indie thriller titled Silent Panic, which premiered at a small film festival last year and is hitting VOD soon this summer. The not-so-original premise is about three friends who discover a dead body in the truck of their car while on a camping trip, but cannot agree on whether or not to tell the police. They try to go back home but the "silent panic" starts to hit. Starring Sean Nateghi, Joseph Martinez, Jay Habre, Constance Brenneman, Juliet Frew, Helene Udy, and Jeff Dowd. Not only is this a boring concept that they've already tried in so many other ways, but this just looks awful. Bad performances, bad script, bad music in the trailer. Stay away from this. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Kyle Schadt's Silent Panic, direct from Indie Rights' YouTube: After discovering...
