‘Love Island Games’ Renewed for Season 2 at Peacock
Image
Love Island spinoff series Love Island Games has been renewed for a second season at Peacock.

The announcement comes days ahead of the Love Island USA season six reunion, which premieres on Monday. The latest installment, hosted by Vanderpump Rules breakout star Ariana Madix, aired earlier this year and reached massive success, quickly becoming the summer’s must-watch reality show.

As for Love Island Games, the series sees fan-favorite Islanders from previous seasons and show versions, including the U.S., U.K. and Australia, coming together as they compete for a second shot at love. However, they are met with more competitions, while also navigating dating, eliminations, recoupling and new bombshells in the villa.

Simon Thomas, Love Island USA executive producer and president of ITV Entertainment, told The Hollywood Reporter last month that while they don’t want to “overdo” or “overexpose” the franchise, he thinks that “Love Island Games...

‘Love Island Games’ Renewed For Season 2 At Peacock

Exclusive: Following the breakout success of Season 6 of Love Island on Peacock, the streamer is bringing back the dating show’s spinoff for a second season.

Love Island Games, which features Islanders from across the globe, is returning to the NBCU streamer. Its first season premiered in November.

The deal comes after the Ariana Madix-hosted Love Island USA doubled its audience of previous seasons, with sources suggesting that it recently became one of Peacock’s top-performing shows on the entire platform.

David George, CEO of ITV America, recently told Deadline that the company, which produces Love Island and Love Island Games, is keen to expand the Love Island universe, so this isn’t a bad step.

Love Island Games Season 2 confirmed — Will Leah Kateb join the cast?
Ariana Madix in Love Island USA (2019)
With Love Island USA Season 6 emerging as the best season yet, the franchise’s popularity has skyrocketed overnight.

With a highly anticipated reunion later this month, there are questions about what’s next for the successful dating series.

Peacock aired Love Island Games last fall instead of a winter edition of the show.

The series benefited from a revamped format, with couples competing to stay in the villa, which took away viewer votes and made the show more like The Challenge.

It was a refreshing change of pace, featuring islanders from the various Love Island iterations around the globe.

Despite its success, Peacock has yet to confirm if a second season is in the works.

Leah Kateb isn’t interested in returning to Love Island

Season 6 cast member Leah Kateb shared a big announcement about the show in a recent interview.

The former islander appeared on the Cancelled podcast and...

Love Island USA Season 2: Where Are They Now?

Justine Ndiba continues to capitalize on her star power, working as a model, influencer, and brand ambassador for Pretty Little Thing. Caleb Corprew has found success in his modeling career, working with brands like Bacardi and Hyundai and starting his own social platform called Slate Social. Cely Vazquez, a self-proclaimed pop star, has joined her best friend Justine in competing on The Challenge: USA and shares new music with her fans on Spotify and YouTube.

While the second season of CBS' popular reality dating show Love Island USA ended with romantic couple Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew winning the grand prize, the season was most notable for the friendship forged between Justine and Cely Vasquez. None of the top four final couples have endured long-term, but Justine and Cely kept up their friendship, at least for a while. There's also information available about the other final contestants.

The Challenge: USA started its final with 10 players, but then Ben Driebergen was medically disqualified, and by the end, there were only two players at the top of the mountain. And that was because everyone else quit: Enzo Palumbo in the first leg, swimming (taking his partner Desi Williams with him); Angela Rummans, after thinking she could just take last place in the all-night checkpoint; and Tyson Apostol, Justine Ndiba, Dom Abbate, and Cayla Platt during the final leg, at sudoku. Danny McCray reached the finish line first, followed by Sarah Lacina, who had been so far behind she thought she was going to come in last. Thankfully, she refused to quit. Here, McCray and Lacina take us inside that final and look ahead to the world championship. You were the only ones to finish the final. Talk about that last leg, because Danny, you...

The Challenge: USA’s David Alexander says he’s training to possibly compete on MTV show
Image

Big Brother was one of four CBS reality TV shows that brought cast members to The Challenge: USA, a spinoff of MTV’s popular competition show.

Among those Big Brother stars was David Alexander, who originally appeared in Season 21 of the CBS show, then returned for Season 22, aka All Stars.

David didn’t have the best showing during his original reality TV show, becoming the first player evicted in Bb 21. He fared slightly better in Bb 22, as the ninth player evicted and got onto the All Stars jury.

However, his appearance as an underdog who defied the odds on The Challenge: USA may have boosted his status in the reality TV world.

He recently opened up about how he’s been training hard to appear on The Challenge again, with three potential shows he could go on.

The Challenge: USA, Episode 10 recap: Difficult daily challenge arrives, competitors erupt before elimination

The competitors arrived back at the compound to start Episode 10 with Sarah Lacina celebrating her elimination win. She has 10,000 in her personal bank account and is eligible to compete in the final.

Competitors knew the final was approaching, so everyone strategized ahead of the daily challenge and next elimination, which would feature the men.

Sarah spoke about the Fab Five alliance ending after she had to eliminate Cashay Proudfoot in the last episode. The other members of the alliance still there included Justine Ndiba, Cayla Platt, and Desi Williams. Still, everyone had different loyalties to worry about and getting to the final.

In another scene, Ben Driebergen was hanging out with Enzo Palumbo, whom he admitted to becoming friends with during a confessional interview. The remaining Survivor men realized that...

The Challenge: USA sneak peek for Episode 10 features Tyson Apostol playing an ‘impossible’ game
Image

A new sneak peek clip for The Challenge: USA, Episode 10, has arrived, and based on the footage, the competition is only getting tougher as Tj Lavin’s final approaches!

Only 12 cast members remain in the game, but only a portion of those individuals are likely to compete in that final. Just a few are likely to be crowned the winners for the season, though.

One of the favorites from the start has been former Survivor winner Tyson Apostol, although he’s yet to face elimination or the prospect of competing in one at The Arena.

That could change based on the latest preview footage, which has Tyson struggling with the upcoming daily challenge.

With a men’s elimination looming, will the Survivor star finally have to prove himself at The Arena,...

Wes Bergmann calls out The Challenge: USA stars for complaints about ‘living conditions’
Image

The Challenge star Wes Bergmann seems to be calling out cast members from the CBS spinoff show, The Challenge: USA, after hearing complaints some made regarding the living conditions.

CBS’ spinoff features stars from reality TV shows The Amazing Race, Big Brother, Love Island, and Survivor, competing in daily challenges, eliminations, and a final, much like t show.

However, it’s been toned down in some ways, with fewer physical battles in the daily events and eliminations than on MTV’s show.

The Challenge spinoff has also featured a unique living arrangement, with cast members sleeping in bunk beds stacked in one or two large rooms inside a warehouse-like complex.

That particular setup didn’t sit well with some of the cast members, nor did some of the other conditions,...

The Challenge: USA ratings drop with Episode 9 of spinoff
Image
Big Brother star Alyssa Lopez appears during The Challenge: USA, Episode 9. Pic credit: Paramount+

The ratings are in for The Challenge: USA, Episode 9, and the numbers showed a significant decrease from the previous week’s installment.

In the ninth episode, which aired on Wednesday, September 1, viewers saw the second-straight episode with competitors going into the daily challenge on their own rather than with teammates.

That was due to host Tj Lavin getting rid of The Algorithm in the previous episode. The special computer program randomly assigned each competitor a new partner every episode to make things interesting, but finally came to an end with the final approaching.

Episode 9 was also the second-straight individual elimination, but this time it was two women competing at The Arena, with one getting sent home for the season.

Ahead of that big event, a rivalry intensified between two particular castmates who both are intent on...

The Fab Five wasn’t so fabulous when it came to working together in the latest episode of The Challenge: USA. In fact, their actions during the daily and subsequent deliberation led to two of them facing off in elimination. Working together, The Amazing Race‘s Cayla Platt, Love Island‘s Cashay Proudfoot and Justine Ndiba, and Survivor‘s Desi Williams and Sarah Lacina should have been able to get Big Brother‘s Alyssa Lopez or Angela Rummans eliminated. Instead, Lacina lost the daily, and winners Williams and Survivor‘s Danny McCray sent in Proudfoot against her. Proudfoot was eliminated. Jonne Roriz, courtesy of Paramount Still, she left feeling like she was leaving a better woman than when she came in. “It was just challenging myself, putting myself in a hard situation,” Proudfoot tells TV Insider, “because I have two dislocated knees, I’m on a fitness show, like what am I doing?...

The Challenge: USA, Episode 9 recap: Rivalry intensifies and allies strike ahead of women’s elimination
Image
Survivor star Sarah Lacina during The Challenge: USA, Episode 9. Pic credit: CBS/YouTube

As The Challenge: USA, Episode 9 opened, the cast enjoyed a nice cruise on the water with food, drinks, and dancing. An alliance called the Fab Five was revealed, which included Sarah Lacina, Desi Williams, Cashay Proudfoot, Justine Ndiba, and Cayla Platt.

Sarah’s group was targeting Big Brother allies Angela Rummans and Alyssa Lopez. Angela said in a confessional that Sarah needs to qualify for the final before calling herself “fabulous.”

Ben Driebergen met with Alyssa and Angela as they talked about what Sarah was up to with the other women. In his confessional, Ben said he trusts Sarah but doesn’t trust what she’s doing.

“If he makes a messy bed, he’ll have to lie in it, and I will not lie in it with him,” Sarah said in her confessional regarding Ben working with the Big Brother women.

Sarah Lacina (‘The Challenge: USA’) on finally winning a competition: ‘They’re all gonna be scared sh*tless of me’

“I finally got my first individual victory,” Sarah Lacina proudly proclaimed at the end of the ninth episode of “The Challenge.” The “Survivor” champion was the last person on CBS’s new reality TV show to win enough money to qualify for host T. J. Lavin‘s finale, something that became a major plot point in recent weeks. “I’m gonna walk back there and they’re all gonna be scared sh*tless of me, as they should be,” Sarah added before giving this final warning to her fellow competitors: “I’m coming for you.”

Sarah was a member of the Fab Five girls’ alliance alongside Cashay Proudfoot, Justine Ndiba, Cayla Platt and Desi Williams. The Challenge: USA spoilers: Episode 9 features daily challenge that could show ‘people’s true colors’

The Challenge: USA, Episode 9 will bring the second daily challenge where players compete individually, but it could also show who people are targeting in the game and who’s working together.

Sneak peek footage showing the next daily event arrived hours ahead of the episode’s debut on CBS. It includes Survivor star Domenick Abbate mentioning that the game should reveal some competitors’ intentions.

“This game’s about to get messy because I think we’re gonna start to see people’s true colors out here,” Dom says in a confessional scene.

In the footage, viewers learn that competitors are playing a giant game similar to Connect 4, where they must carry large tokens down to a playing field. The object is to get four tokens lined up in a row on their board before an opponent blocks them.

The Challenge: USA, Episode 9 sneak peek reveals Big Brother stars as top targets for castmate’s alliance

The competition is becoming more intense with each episode of The Challenge: USA, as cast members try to win, strategize, plot, and scheme their ways to Tj Lavin’s final.

They’ll be working harder than ever in those areas, as The Algorithm is now out of the picture, and it’s become an individual game. Having solid allies becomes extra essential.

Ahead of the ninth episode, all but one of the remaining competitors had qualified for the final by earning 5,000 in their personal bank accounts. That’s Survivor star Sarah Lacina, who appears to be looking to eliminate one specific castmate from the game.

Viewers saw a deal set in motion in Episode 8 of the spinoff show after Big Brother star Angela Rummans was the women’s winner in the daily challenge.

The key to winning “The Challenge: USA” is to prevail in the Final Challenge, but in order to qualify for that, contestants must first accumulate at least 5,000 throughout the season. After footage recapped the previous episode’s elimination, The Challenge: USA, Episode 8 opened with host Tj Lavin telling the cast it was time to stop using The Algorithm to determine teams.

Instead, Tj said it’s now an “individual game” from now on, with no more teammates for each daily challenge. Tj told everyone to get out of The Arena.

There are just 14 competitors left: Alyssa Lopez, Justine Ndiba, Cashay Proudfoot, Angela Rummans, Cayla Platt, Sarah Lacina, Desi Williams, Ben Driebergen, Tyson Apostol, Danny McCray, Leo Temory, David Alexander, Domenick Abbate, and Enzo Palumbo.

Ben and Danny talked about having each other’s back, possibly forming a secret alliance that also had Sarah in it. Ben said he won all the time on Survivor and expected to do the same on this show, but it hasn’t happened so far.

On The Challenge: USA, four CBS reality TV shows provided competitors with Amazing Race, Big Brother, Love Island, and Survivor.

Due to the nature of their show, Love Island entered the season viewed as a group of underdogs, but several cast members proved that wasn’t the case throughout the episodes.

Among them were Love Island women Shannon St. Clair, Cashay Proudfoot, Justine Ndiba, and Kyra Green, who showed their competitive abilities and began to pose a threat to other competitors.

Justine and Cashay were each able to capture daily challenge wins alongside Survivor’s Tyson Apostol, and each got at least one win each in an elimination event at The Arena.

Kyra also showed she was a force to be reckoned with, managing to survive in the game and avoiding...
