Chris Maes is an independent filmmaker based in the Washington, D.C. area, where he writes, produces, and directs original content under his banner, Trujillo Creek Pictures. Originally from Northern California, Maes is a graduate of UCLAs School of Theater, Film and Television. He began his career as a screenwriter, developing projects for Universal, 20th Century Fox, and New World Pictures. His debut feature, HEMISPHERE, earned critical acclaim and was named one of the top sci-fi films of 2024 by Film Threat. His upcoming feature, AIR SHIFT -- a horror/thriller -- will be released in Fall 2025.
