Joyce Hii is an Asian-American actress born and raised in Los Angeles in California. She always had a love for acting and participated in theatre productions through her high school, college and community theatre. She graduated from California Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Master's in Accountancy in 2019. Joyce transitioned from working at a top 10 accounting firm to pursuing a full-time career in film in 2021.
Since then, Joyce has starred as the lead in several short films and pilot presentations. She also starred in large supporting roles in feature films. Many of these productions have gone on to win awards in film festivals. Some of her more notable roles include her lead role as Jessica Yu in "I Can't Run Away," where her character is forced to decide whether to run or fight back against the Asian hate crimes committed against her. In the thriller, "Welcome", Joyce starred as the lead character Riley, who attends a college dorm party and fights to survive after her boyfriend is murdered. In the comedic feature film "Who Dunt Dunt Dunnit?", Joyce played Won Yung, the smart, but timid student who is invited to a dinner party that turns out to be an intense and real murder mystery.
Joyce Hii currently resides in Los Angeles. She enjoys biking, raising monarch caterpillars and volunteering at her church as part of the worship team.
