Iran Daniel, born and raised in Mexico City, is a bilingual actor and Emmy® award-winning TV host and news anchor. She has been cast in numerous television and film roles, including "9-1-1" (FOX), "Party of Five" (Freeform/Hulu), "La Migra", "Day Shift" (Fox Searchlight), "Bulletfighter," "The Comeback" (HBO), "Warren the Ape" (MTV), and Nickelodeon's "iCarly." She also captivated Hispanic audiences in the U.S. and Latin America as on-air correspondent and host for Telemundo's top-rated morning show "Un Nuevo Dia", the same show that made history by receiving the first-ever Daytime Emmy® for "Outstanding Morning Program in Spanish".

As a child, she attended an American school in Mexico City were she learned to read and write in English before she did in Spanish, growing up completely bilingual. Although her grandma (who was a writer and professor of French in Mexico's university UNAM) spoke to her in French since a young age, it was not until she attended the Polanco's French Lycée before high school, that she became a fluent francophone. Passionate about languages she studied Italian, mastering fluency as well.

Before attending college, she moved to London, England from where she traveled to over 45 countries, experiencing a diversity cultures that ignited her passion for photography and writing. Her captured images and poems were put together in an art exhibition called "IDentities of the World", first shown in Vienna, Austria, and then in other corners of the world.

Back in Mexico she enrolled in Mexico's University UNAM to study International Relations. Shortly after, Televisa asked her to join the very first "Nuestra Belleza" beauty contest, the new Miss Mexico franchise produced by Mexico's first Miss Universe, Lupita Jones. As a finalist, Iran was offered a scholarship at the Televisa's coveted training program "CEA" (Centro de Educación Artística), but she declined to finish college in Miami graduating in Arts with a minor in Photography, and where she was granted an "Art Merit Scholarship" for her achievements in photography and painting.

She worked on TV commercials before she began her career in broadcasting as host of Univision's "Sabado Gigante," the longest running variety show with an audience of more than 100 million viewers in 42 countries worldwide. After studying Drama in Miami, she landed a lead role in a Soap-Opera and continued working as a Series Regular in a variety of TV productions for the Hispanic market. An Oscar-nominated producer offered her the lead in a short-film he was directing, and her passion for film led her to pack her bags and drive across country from Miami to Hollywood, with only her laptop, a bunch of headshots, her drill and a sewing machine...

Iran lives happily in Los Angeles, and has trained at Groundlings, and with Lesly Kahn and Margie Harber, Bob and Claire Corff, among other renowned acting coaches.
