“It was quite uncanny,” says Reece Feldman, without a trace of irony, about the Cannes debut of his short film, "Wait, Your Car?"
Normally, the digital creator — known to his millions of followers as @guywithamoviecamera — is capturing the work of others. For the first time this spring, he captured his own. “I tend to be pragmatic and practical by nature,” he tells Gold Derby. “So it was genuinely something I couldn’t have dreamed of because I just don’t allow myself to dream that big.”
But there he was in May, premiering his own 12-minute short in front of an audience of hundreds on the French Riviera, at an event hosted by TikTok. He calls the experience a “privilege” — and true to form, he was more excited about the technical specs of the debut than anything else. “It wasn’t just hooked up to some Hdmi and a laptop...

David Corenswet bagged a titular role in his career in James Gunn’s upcoming DC Universe reboot. The new Superman is currently attending promotional events to announce his maiden appearance as the iconic superhero. The movie will hit theaters on July 11, 2025. However, during one such appearance, a memorable Andre the Giant reference stole the hearts of the WWE fans.
The now-hyped moment took place at an arm-wrestling contest. Interestingly, it happened between David Corenswet and social media influencer Recce Feldman, which ended pretty much as expected. Corenswet easily dominated the social media influencer in the contest. However, it was the new Superman’s reference to a famous dialogue by Andre the Giant that tickled the funny bones of those witnessing the light-hearted entertainment.

TikTok creators got the surprise of their lives during the first week of Cannes Film Festival, when Tom Cruise showed up to give a talk on his new film “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning” ahead of its premiere.
The 34 film-centric creators, who TikTok invited to the festival from across the globe, thought they were just coming to the platform’s festival hub at the J.W. Marriott for a content creation workshop — until Cruise came out of nowhere. In partnership with Paramount, Cruise gave a 20-minute fireside chat with creator Reece Feldman (@guywithamoviecamera on the platform) and then hung around for about an hour after to have one-on-one conversations with as many of the TikTokers as possible.
“I’ve never asked permission to create,” Cruise told the room. “Actors and filmmakers and businessmen say, ‘What should I do?’ Do it. Learn it, apply it and don’t wait to know everything.

Tom Cruise made a surprise early appearance at Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday at a TikTok creator workshop, where he previewed some of the “never been done” stunts in “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning.”
Cruise participated in a fireside chat with TikTok creator Reece Feldman, also known as @guywithamoviecamera, shocking around 25 creators attending the festival. Feldman is premiering his first narrative short, “Wait, Your Car?,” at a special TikTok event during the fest and Cruise’s “The Final Reckoning” debuts out of competition on Wednesday. Cruise began the conversation by telling Feldman that he got into Cannes at 3:30 a.m. that morning after receiving the BFI Fellowship in London on Monday night, adding that the team had “just finished” “The Final Reckoning.”
When Feldman asked Cruise about the death-defying aerial sequence in the film, Cruise said he applied his “decades of knowledge” flying planes.

Inception. The Thin Red Line. Driving Miss Daisy. Gladiator. Dune. Any one of these films – and dozens upon dozens more – could be argued as Hans Zimmer’s best score. But what does Zimmer consider the peak of his oeuvre?
Guy with a Movie Camera aka Reece Feldman recently challenged Hans Zimmer to find out what the composer thought of his own scores. To start off the single-elimination tournament, it was Pirates of the Caribbean against The Lion King, for which Zimmer earned his first Oscar. Zimmer easily picked the 1994 Disney classic for personal reasons, also noting it was his first score for an animated film. “Lion King is written for my daughter. I didn’t really wanna do the movie. I didn’t really want to do animation. And then the movie really surprised me because it’s about the father dying and my father died when I was six years old.

Reece Feldman — the viral creator who made a name for himself online with his Guy With a Movie Camera accounts on TikTok and Instagram (totaling nearly 3 million followers) — has long credited a love of film and television for leading him to become one of Hollywood’s most in-demand creators. It was only a matter of time that he lived up to his online name and picked up a camera to direct his first project.
Feldman wrote and directed a short film titled Wait, Your Car? starring Whitney Peak (Gossip Girl), Ruby Cruz (Bottoms), Minnie Mills (The Summer I Turned Pretty) and Noa Fisher (Uncut Gems). The project follows four friends whose relationship is tested when one claims that her car is literally trying to kill her. The short film was produced by Roger Mancusi’s Fair Oaks Entertainment, Timothy Mendonça and Danielle Kampf.

Hans Zimmer — the name itself evokes feelings of cinematic grandeur, a quality that all his soundtracks embody. He’s a legendary composer who has crafted some of the most iconic film scores, and his music doesn’t just accompany the scenes; it elevates them.
Zimmer is a generational talent, and the skills he possesses are exceptionally rare because only a few can weave emotions into every note the way he does. From The Dark Knight to Man of Steel, he’s proven his mettle in every way possible.
Hans Zimmer | Rick Beato / YouTube
He can compose for a Disney movie, one with superheroes, or a moving sci-fi drama. Many cinephiles have their favorite Zimmer scores, but how does the maestro himself rank his work?

Kyle MacLachlan stopped by Austin, Texas this week for the South By Southwest Film Festival, where he sat down for an interview with SXSW studio host Reece Feldman. The conversation soon turned to one of MacLachlan's most famous collaborators, the late David Lynch, who passed away in January this year. Feldman asked MacLachlan where he thought was the best place for new viewers to start with Lynch's work. "I was curious," he said to MacLachlan, "if you think that there's one totemic work that'll really introduce someone to [Lynch]."
MacLachlan name-dropped a few of Lynch's other films, but in the end went with perhaps the most popular answer he could've given:
"'Eraserhead is a very particular vision, almost a nightmarish vision. And you can obviously distill so much of his later imagery from 'Eraserhead.' 'Elephant Man,' again, a beautiful film, personal in a different way...

Since the Superman trailer dropped, the Man of Steel feels inescapable. Generating 250 million views on various platforms in one day, the trailer became the most watched trailer in DC and Warner Bros.' history. Every detail of the trailer has been combed over, and one fascinating element is the film's depiction of Superman's alter ego, Clark Kent. Actor David Corenswet's Clark Kent appears to be shy and a little clumsy, and director James Gunn has opted to give him curly hair to distinguish him from Superman's straight hair with a single curl. Now fans know what Corenswet Clark Kent might sound like, thanks to a behind-the-scenes video.
Content creator Reece Feldman posted a video of himself with actor David Corenswet during a set visit to Superman when it was in production. In the video Feldman posted to his Instagram (see below), he asks the audience if they would mind...

After making a splash last fall with her debut album Snow Angel, Reneé Rapp has revealed that she’s back to work on a new album.
“Are you currently working on a new album?” actress Rachel Sennott asks Rapp in a new installment of Instagram’s Close Friends Only podcast. Rapp, who recently graced the big-screen in the musical adaptation of Mean Girls, confirms that she is in the studio working on new material and goes on to explain the inspiration.
“[Age] 23 to 24 has been a massive difference for me,” Rapp tells the actress, star of such films as Shiva Baby, Bottoms and I Used to Be Funny. “It’s also about, like, a reflection on my, like, 23rd year specifically.”
Sennott then jumps in to offer her experience on her early 20s as someone who is now 28. “23 is fucking crazy,” she says. “It was like the most insane year of my life.
