‘Happy Death Day 2U’ Review – Second Opinion
Stars: Jessica Rothe, Israel Broussard, Ruby Modine, Rachel Matthews, Charles Aitken, Jason Bayle, Phi Vu, Donna Duplantier, GiGi Erneta | Written and Directed by Christopher Landon

Director Christopher Landon, along with stars Jessica Rothe and Israel Broussard as Tree Gelbman and Carter Davis, respectively return to the Blumhouse produced sequel of 2017′s surprise underground horror hit Happy Death Day with Happy Death Day 2U. An absurdly extravagant and absurdly evolved sequel and a film that manages to dial up an already bizarre concept to eleven and still manages to reap the benefits of a fun, entertaining venture that manages to hold its head above an overly convoluted sea of insanity and narrative confusion but only just.

Leading lady Jessica Rothe has undoubtedly cemented herself as an action horror heroine. Rothe has such splendid emotional range and depth. Crafting significant layers to a character tormented in burning agony by both past and...

‘Happy Death Day 2U’ Review
Stars: Jessica Rothe, Israel Broussard, Ruby Modine, Rachel Matthews, Charles Aitken, Jason Bayle, Phi Vu, Donna Duplantier, GiGi Erneta | Written and Directed by Christopher Landon

Happy Death Day‘s inspired slasher-version-of-Groundhog-Day premise proved a surprise hit for Blumhouse Productions back in October 2017, so it’s no surprise that a sequel has followed less than two years later. With the entire cast and director Christopher Landon back on board, the sequel finds increasingly clever ways to build on the first film without just resorting to more of the same (even if “more of the same” is the entire point of a time loop movie).

Initially, Happy Death Day 2U begins by focusing on a different character, namely science student Ryan (Phi Vu) – the roommate of heroine Tree’s (Jessica Rothe) now-boyfriend Carter (Israel Broussard) – who only had variations on a one-line cameo last time round. Here it’s Ryan who finds...

First Happy Death Day Footage Gives Millennials Their Own Slasher
Universal Pictures has debuted the first trailer preview for Happy Death Day, originally entitled Half to Death, which reveals the first of many deaths for a young college student named Tree Gelbman (Jessica Rothe). Blumhouse produces this original and inventive rewinding thriller where Tree relives the day of her murder with both its unexceptional details and terrifying end until she discovers her killer's identity. This 20-second video will get fans ready for the first full trailer that arrives on Wednesday.

Universal Pictures debuted this trailer preview on its YouTube page, which is where the full trailer will arrive on Wednesday. The trailer preview begins with Tree Gelbman waking up in a dorm room, before returning to her sorority house to get ready for her own birthday party. While the party is in full swing, Tree is seen entering a darkened room, where she is met by a masked intruder, who...

‘Bad Bromance’ DVD Review
Stars: Jack Black, James Marsden, Kathryn Hahn, Jeffrey Tambor, Russell Posner, Henry Zebrowski, Kyle Bornheimer, Mike White, Corrina Lyons, Donna Duplantier, Charlotte Gale, Denise Williamson, Han Soto, Danielle Greenup, Dermot Mulroney | Written and Directed by Andrew Mogel, Jarrad Paul

Bad Bromance. That’s an interesting title… You might not have heard it till the debut of this movie on DVD. Hang on though. Did anyone go and see The D Train in UK cinemas? I tried. It was screening once a day at a cinema 20 minutes drive away from me and only at 11pm every night. Talk about burying a movie. Maybe that’s why The D Train has been retitled Bad Bromance for its DVD release? Or maybe it’s because this “comedy” is anything but and the the reviews of the cinema release were less than stellar.

The film sees Jack Black (School of Rock) star as Dan “The D Train” (see,...

Matthew McConaughey in Dallas Buyers Club (2013)
'Dallas Buyers Club' - reflects reality (Ians Movie Review)
Matthew McConaughey in Dallas Buyers Club (2013)
Film: "Dallas Buyers Club"; Cast: Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, Jared Leto, Denis O'Hare, Steve Zahn, Michael O'Neill, Dallas Roberts, Griffin Dunne, Kevin Rankin, Donna Duplantier and Deneen Tyler; Director: Jean-Marc Vallee; Rating: ***1/2

Unlike Director Dylan Mohan Gray's hard-hitting documentary, "Fire in the Blood", which was released in the Indian theaters last October, "Dallas Buyers Club" is a fascinating dramatization of the same subject.

It depicts how the medical profession, government and pharmaceutical giants in the Us dragged their heels in promoting the expensive Azt and ignoring its toxic.

Justice (2011) UK Movie Trailer: Roger Donaldson, Nicolas Cage
Justice UK Trailer. Roger Donaldson‘s Justice (2011) UK movie trailer stars Nicolas Cage, January Jones, Guy Pearce, Jennifer Carpenter, and Harold Perrineau. Justice‘s – previously called Seeking Justice and The Hungry Rabbit Jumps – plot synopsis: “After his wife is assaulted, a husband enlists the services of a vigilante group to help him settle the score. The husband gets more than he bargained for.”

This looked like an average thriller until the group comes calling for their favor to be re-paid by Nick Gerard (Nicolas Cage) and he is disinclined to acquiesce to their demands. I also liked the fact that Gerard virtually has nowhere to turn for help because the group is made up of the very people he would go to.

Justice also stars Xander Berkeley, Monica Acosta, D’Arcy Allen, David Jensen, IronE Singleton, Joe Chrest, Mike Pniewski, Wayne Pére, Donna Duplantier, Melody Noel, and Jason Davis.

Texas Killing Fields (2011) Movie Trailer: Ami Canaan Mann
Texas Killing Fields Trailer. Ami Canaan Mann‘s Texas Killing Fields (2011) movie trailer stars Sam Worthington, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Chloe Moretz, Jessica Chastain, and Stephen Graham. Texas Killing Fields’ plot synopsis: “Texas Killing Fields follows a homicide detective in a small Texan town and his partner, a transplanted cop from NYC, as they track a serial killer dumping his victims’ mutilated bodies in a nearby marsh locals call ‘The Killing Fields’”.

I pieced together from this trailer *spoiler begins* that Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character uses Chloe Moretz’s character off-the-books as bait for the serial killer and the serial killer takes it (her) *spoiler ends*. That is just conjecture on my part but from this movie trailer I think that is what happens. This film could be good, certainly better than languid Small Town Murder Songs.

Texas Killing Fields also stars Jason Clarke, Annabeth Gish, Sheryl Lee, Leanne Cochran,...
