For Marisol Rivera, a first generation Mexican-American, college is everything she's worked toward. She spent mornings cleaning horse stalls and evenings studying. Now, with a scholarship in hand, she's ready to leave Southwest Texas and begin her new life. However, when Marisol is falsely accused of a crime, she learns a heartbreaking truth: she's undocumented.

Liana Mendoza, is an Indigenous Latinx Actor, Producer, Writer and Director. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her first "breakout role" was in "Mothers and Daughters" starring alongside Susan Sarandon, Mira Sorvino and Selma Blair. Since then, she joined the cast of the Emmy Award winning Proud Family: Louder and Prouder as a Voice Actor. Mendoza has joined the cast of many hit television shows such as "Bones", "Scandal", "Walk the Prank", "Better Call Saul", "Ray Donovan", "The L Word", "Baskets" and "American Horror Story" to name a few.

Mendoza began her career when she was 1 of 15 students invited to attend Hamilton High School the Academy of Music and Performing Arts. By 18, her calling was clear, Liana starred in the theatre portrayed lead role of Disney's Princess Jasmine for several years on the Disneyland Resort stage. Eventually, accepted into NYU Tisch on scholarship to complete the education needed to achieve new heights as an Actor, Writer, Producer and Director. Earning her MFA while learning from great professors and academic directors; some of which include David K. Irving, Thomas J. Mangan, Sam Pollard, and Janet Grillo. A real treat was learning from Judd Apatow.

She continues to refine her craft by studying under the direct tutelage of world renowned teacher Ivana Chubbuck. And graduated from her master class.

An Indigenous Afro-Latina woman who's family originates from both the Aztec and Hopi Tribe, with additional Indigenous roots that tie back to the Bantu people of West Africa and the Polynesian Islands.

Mendoza has earned Congressional recognition for her contributions to society through her charity work which is something she continues to be passionate about. Altruism is one of the most important forms of expression to her. She utilizes the arts as a platform to advance her outreach.
