Mario Salvucci

Mario started his musical journey by studying the piano, but eventually changed to classical guitar studies. He enjoyed the versatility this instrument brought and took turns exploring the worlds of jazz, bossa nova and funk rock.His foundation for scoring films came from his collaboration with Riccardo Santoboni, a talented musician and teacher in the conservatories of Bari and Rome. In 2003 Mario graduated in Computer Science and received a masters degree in Sound Engineering. These experiences laid the ground work for his notable style built around his work in sound design, songwriting and then finally as a composer for motion pictures. Mario specializes in a hybrid technique that involves classical orchestration and an arrangement of sounds and timber through sound layering. His personal pre-recorded samples are mixed with live players which creates a unique mixture between human, organic and the synthetic.

An award winning composer, Mario's work includes feature films, television documentaries, theatrical plays and multimedia gallery showcases. Although based in Rome, Italy he's an international musician who's collaborated with producers and directors all around the world.
