Russell Poole(1956-2015)

During his investigation of a slain LAPD officer, Kevin Gaines, shot by an undercover narcotics officer, Frank Lyga, he discovered a gang of rogue cops operating on the behalf of a Compton Blood Gangs tied with Suge Knight's rap label, Death Row. Among those rogue cops, he designated David Anthony Mack, a narcotics officer, who was later indicted for a bank robbery, and Rafael Antonio Perez, a CRASH unit officer, who later became the famous whistle-blower of the infamous Rampart Scandal.
