Golden Buzzers & Big Moments Heat Up ‘AGT’ Season 20’s Auditions
Howie Mandel, Sofía Vergara, Mel B, Terry Crews, and Simon Cowell in America's Got Talent (2006)
America’S Got Talent — “Auditions” Episode 2004 — Pictured: Astrid Jorgensen — (Photo by: Trae Patton/NBC) Tuesday night on America’s Got Talent Season 20 was a real blast. It was packed with all sorts of acts, including some based on AI that had judges and audience members alike scratching their heads in amazement. The fourth round of auditions led up to a “Golden Buzzer” moment that left a certain Englishman from the ’70s with egg on his face. In the current season, the format remains customary: an act goes through on three “yes” votes from the judges. But the big game-changer this time around is the newly coveted Golden Buzzer, a ticket straight to the live shows that any judge or host Terry Crews can award for a truly exceptional performance. So far, we’ve seen some big moments: Simon hit the buzzer for immersive artists Light Wire in Episode 1, and Howie Mandel backed musician Jourdan Blue.

10 Most Upsetting Western Fight Scenes of All Time, Ranked
Image
The Western genre is known for its duels, fist fights, and shootouts. Most of the time, these moments are presented as high-adrenaline action sequences to keep audiences drawn to their screens, anxiously awaiting the outcome. However, other times, these fights hold a lot more weight in the story being told, removing any semblance of fun that may have been present beforehand.

As seen time and time again, the Western genre can present some truly human stories to viewers. Unlike the spaghetti westerns of yesteryear, the gritty, realistic glimpses this genre offers into the lifestyle often make for difficult watching. Some fights last with viewers long after they finish their movie-going experience -- and a lot of the time, that's due to their troubling nature.

The Great Silence's Final Shootout Ends On A Desperately Dour Note The Great Silence (1968)

Released: November 1968 Directed by: Sergio Corbucci Starring: Jean-Louis Trintignant as "Silence," Klaus Kinski as Loco,...

Jimin of BTS Is Tapping Some Deep Beatles Love on His New ‘Muse’
Image
Jimin of BTS is turning heads worldwide with Muse, his ambitious and experimental new solo album. One of the tracks getting the most attention is the great single, “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band,” featuring South Korean rapper Loco. Jimin takes explicit inspiration from the Beatles 1967 psychedelic masterpiece, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, with a playfully experimental theme song for a fictional band, as horns toot away. The video is also a clever Sgt. Pepper homage. But the Beatles connection makes sense on a much deeper level. It’s a...
