Biography

James Mills is a producer and actor from the UK, based in London and Manchester. Of mixed English and East Asian heritage, he is bilingual in English and Mandarin.

Growing up, Mills always had the ambition of becoming an film producer and actor, which was fuelled by his desire to tell stories from the British East and South East Asian (BESEA) community and to reflect on screen, the diverse and complex characters that often get overlooked in film and television. After graduating from sixth-form, Mills read law at the University of Manchester where he obtained his Bachelor's in Law, and continued there in pursuing his Master's in International Business and Commercial Law which aided his film production career. Whilst at university, Mills performed at open mic nights and also excelled at debating, eventually becoming the champion in the prestigious law school's mooting competition.
