Karly Rothenberg(I)

Karly Rothenberg, born and raised in Denver, CO, training in both New York and Los Angeles, began her professional career at Totem Pole Playhouse in Pennsylvania. Two years later, she met her mentor and lifelong friend, Avery Schreiber, studying Improvisational Theater with Avery until his passing in 2002. Karly then studied with the legendary Stella Adler in her master class, and with great pride became Ms. Adler's personal secretary in Los Angeles for the remainder of Stella's life. Some of Karly's favorite stage roles include: Lalume in Kismet, Susan in Desert's Song, Celia in A Hatful of Rain, Isabelle in Ring Round The Moon, Doatsy May in Best Li'l Whore House in Texas, and various Los Angeles Improv shows at The Second City and Improv Olympics, including Good Touch Bad Touch Uncle Gary Go Away! as well as The Chicago Improv Festival ensemble of World News at 10.

Notable TV roles include: Ms. Shapiro in the Netflix hit American Vandal, Marlene, Miguel Ferrer's secretary on The Protector, Mrs. Valentine on That's So Raven, and Madge Madsen, on NBC's hit show, The Office. Additional credits include guest spots on This is Us, The Resident, AP Bio, Veronica Mars, Gray's Anatomy, and Young Sheldon. She also has a successful voice-acting career. Karly is a proud member of The Television Academy, Actors Equity, and SAG-AFTRA.

Karly's favorite film role to date was playing the boat captain, Dee Brady, in the upcoming Netflix film NYAD, starring Annette Bening, Jodie Foster, and her new forever friend, Rhys Ifans!
