We’re back in Miami! On Thursday night, the Latin Recording Academy returned to Florida for its annual Latin Grammy Awards ceremony, where it’s celebrating the best Latin music of the year.

Before the official ceremony, Mexican American producer and songwriter Edgar Barrera led the pack of nominees, with nine nods for his work with artists like Shakira and Grupo Frontera. He ended up earning wins for both Songwriter and Producer of the Year, and Best Reguinal Song for “Amor de Su Vida” by Frontera and Grupo Firme.

The winners of the 25th Annual Latin Grammys were announced on Thursday, Nov. 14. The first results were revealed at the Premiere Ceremony at 1:15pm Eastern. Then the rest of the prizes were handed out during an event that aired live at 8:00pm Eastern on Univision, Galavisión, and ViX.

Forastero Drops First Trailer for ‘My Tender Matador’ (Exclusive)

Chile’s Forastero has shared with Variety the first trailer for it is highly anticipated, pan-Latin American co-production “My Tender Matador,” staring the country’s most prolific lead actor Alfredo Castro “The Club”).

Co-produced by Forestero in Chile, Tornado in Argentina, Caponeto in Mexico and Zapik Films in Chile, the feature is directed by Rodrigo Sepúlveda Urzúa and based on the the novel by celebrated Chilean writer Pedro Lemebel, a figure decades ahead of his time is his advocacy of gender issues, in an archly conservative Chile under and after the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet.

Turning on an intimate friendship, the 1986-set feature tells the story of an impoverished, elderly, cross-dresser known as the Queen of the Corner (Castro). After falling in love with a charming guerrilla, the character gets swept up in a covert anti-Pinochet operation.

Madrid, Nov 22 (Ians/Efe) Diego 'El Cigala', Remedios Amaya and Enrique 'El Negri' Heredia have joined together to bring out the album 'Mexico Flamenco', which goes on sale this week and fuses flamenco with Mexican standards.

Works by Agustin Lara, Jose Jose, Vicente Fernandez and Jose Alfredo Jimenez are reborn with Gypsy voices, while Catalan singer Silvia Perez Cruz and Venezuela's Oscar d'Leon perform a duo with El Cigala.

This fusion of 21st-century flamenco with traditional Mexican songs also features several other stars, such as Montse Cortes, Vicente 'Parrita' Castro, Guadiana, Jose 'Sorderita' Soto, Aurora.
