- Steve Hope Wynne is an English Actor of Scot-Irish genes in Television comedy and drama, Feature Film, Theatre, Radio and is a Voice Talent for Games and Animation. Steve is vocalist songwriter and producer of avant-garde rock band SkyQuaker whose recordings feature Mike Garson Mike Garson, David Bowie's career pianist David Bowie. Steve is known for his game-roles as Richard Croft, father to Lara Croft in Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018) starring Camilla Luddington and Earl Baylon, and Charlie et la Chocolaterie (2005) starring Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Deep Roy, Christopher Lee, James Fox, Missi Pyle and Freddie Highmore, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), Charlie et la Chocolaterie (2005) plus Shongram (2014) starring Anupam Kher and Asia Argento and other Game/Movie titles. Steve's character range of voices have been applied in major Studio Games & Movies for Directors such as Tim Burton in Charlie et la Chocolaterie (2005) for Warner Bros. Steve has also been a voice impressionist in stand-up and comedy writing with Alex Lowe Alex Lowe and Lewis Macleod in 'Barry from Watford' and is co-creator of numerous award-winning radio comedy shows including 'Damn the Torpedoes' for BFBS.
Steve served with British Army, Royal Corps of Signals as Communications Specialist Detachment Commander. after serving with Royal Navy Reserve. As a musician he played French horn in the Middlesex Yeomanry Band and is frontman / composer-founder of the avant-garde rock band SkyQuaker with co-writer / movie composer and producer George McFarlane George McFarlane of The Quick with multiple US top ten hit records.
Training: Steve earned a working-scholarship to ALRA Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, London in its initial year.
After graduating from ALRA London UK in 1986, Steve Hope-Wynne moved from London to Vienna and parts of Europe where his career began at Vienna's International Theatre playing roles by great American playwrights including John Steinbeck 'Of Mice and Men'. In Vienna he played The Times Columnist in Marvin J. Chomsky Anastasia (1986) starring Amy Irving, Edward Fox, Omar Sharif, Christian Bale and Claire Bloom. Steve returned to London in 1987 to work on a police TV series The Bill (1984) later Drop the Dead Donkey (1990) for Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin, then Holby City (1999). multiple roles in successive Shakespeare and Greek classical plays while working for new writers and independent film producers including Sue Pomeroy and Denis Saunders in Good Company touring Production of 'The Pepyshow' starring Peter Woodward and new wave of TV Writer-Directors as James Strong in Strong's 'Lady Jane' and in Les arnaqueurs VIP (2004). - In Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018) Steve Hope Wynne filmed the Motion Capture and voice scenes for Lara Croft's Father at Centroid in Pinewood Studios.
- Stephen (junior) slept in orchestra pits and worked in minor child roles in various operas and musicals that his parents worked in most nights throughout Steve's childhood. Steve Hope Wynne went on to play the french horn, guitar, flute and saxophone and song-writer.
- That day of recording Kidz Next Door debut single all the lads noticed that Steve's mum was featured on page 3 of a renowned UK tabloid newspaper.
