Venom: The Last Dance is wrapping up its time in theaters, meaning that its final box office haul is now available. According to Box Office Mojo as of Sunday, December 8, the Tom Hardy-starring film has a domestic haul of $139 million and a foreign gross of $333 million, adding up to $473 million globally. Given Venom 3's reported budget of $120 million, this makes the film a modest success. However, it comes up short when compared to the other films in the series with 2018's Venom and 2021's Venom: Let There Be Carnage grossing about $213 domestically.

Knull, the presumed arch-villain of Sony's Spider-Man Universe, could have been a lot more terrifying in Venom: The Last Dance if he looked a little more similar to the recently revealed concept art. Knull is the eldritch god of darkness and one of Marvel's most genuinely terrifying villains in both appearance and power. Unfortunately, he remained off-screen for most of the movie - though audiences were granted a slightly clearer look at Andy Serkis' villain in the post-credits scene for Venom: The Last Dance, which also teased his return in the future.
Concept artist Karl Lindberg recently unveiled original concept art for Knull on ArtStation (shared by TheVenomSite on X), proving that his face reveal at the end of Venom: The Last Dance could have been a lot more terrifying. The art introduces a lot more red to Knull's color scheme as he sits on a throne that evokes...

2024 has produced a few movies which critics and audiences can't seem to agree on, and their Rotten Tomatoes scores highlight the way they have split opinion. Rotten Tomatoes gives two scores to a movie. The "Tomatometer" score measures critical opinions based on published reviews, while the newly-revamped "Popcornmeter" score offers a way for audiences to log their own opinions. It's often the case that these two scores are very close to one another, but a few movies break the system.
More often that not, if there's a big difference between a Tomatomer score and a Popcornmeter score, it's because a movie is a simple crowdpleaser that critics don't care for. Critics are more focused on the craft of a movie and the ideas behind it. Many people also think like this, of course, but the majority of the public rate a movie based on how entertaining it is. Movies like...

Venom: The Last Dance is currently making waves at the box office, but a fourth film in the movie franchise has not been confirmed yet. As of right now, the film is living up to its title, serving as the final appearance for Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock aka Venom. However, it seems that Sony is not done with the anti-hear just yet, as a new Marvel rumor suggests that Agent Venom is the next film in the franchise.
According to Daniel Richtman, Sony is developing an Agent Venom film in the wake of the final installment of the Venom trilogy starring Tom Hardy. Of course, this is only a rumor and should be stressed as such. However, considering the studio is always looking to make more Spider-Man-related films, continuing to cash in on their most successful Marvel franchise makes a lot of sense. Agent Venom would be a natural continuation of the storyline too,...

Okay “Marvel maniacs”, are you ready for a deep deep dive into another franchise? After all, it’s been nearly three months since the blockbuster “mash-up” Deadpool And Wolverine. Of course you are, but hold up, true believer. This isn’t the beloved MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). Rather, we’re back in the “Sony Spider-verse”. So Tom Holland is off polishing his web-shooters (not a metaphor), as we get another “spin-off” from Spidey’s long-running comics series. And, unfortunately, this isn’t another romp in the surprisingly fun animated epics. No, this is the second live-action flick this year, after the “so bad it may be good” Madame Web, and while Kraven sharpens his claws for his December attack. And, sorry that vapid vamp Morbius is not returning, although this film’s focus has had better luck with two previous outings in 2018 and 2021. Now, with this third entry, Sony promises...

Standup comedian Bill Burr's directorial debut, "Old Dads," is packed with secular and offensive jokes that often overstay their welcome. The film focuses on the angry old guy archetype who is frustrated with the changing times, but this tired and unfunny perspective gets exhausting after a while. The film's strongest aspect is the chemistry between the main characters and their friendship, but it is overshadowed by the overplayed humor and lack of meaningful commentary.
Standup comedian Bill Burr is no stranger to pushing the limits in his comedy. And in his directorial debut, Old Dads, he pushes it far. Burr stars as Jack Kelly, a businessman, husband, and father with a temper and raunchy mouth that puts him in more trouble than it's worth. When an eccentric, new millennial CEO takes over the company he’s made with his best friends Connor (Bobby Cannavale) and Mike (Bokeem Woodbine), Jack’s anger boils over,...

"Such a travesty, what happened to her." Hulu has unveiled a rather creepy full-length official trailer for Candy, a true crime murder mystery series streaming on Huu starting next month. Candy is set in Texas in 1980 and is based on the true story of killer Candy Montgomery and her victim, Betty Gore. Jessica Biel plays Montgomery Candy, who seemingly had it all - a loving husband with a good job, a daughter and a son, a nice house in the brand new suburbs - so why did she kill her friend from church with an ax? Indeed, an intriguing question... This trailer gives some obvious hints at what's going on between them, but the mystery of how she covered it up seems more interesting. The series co-stars Melanie Lynskey as Betty Gore, plus Pablo Schreiber, Raúl Esparza, Sharon Conley, Dash McCloud, Aven Lotz, and Antonella Rose. This has such an eerie vibe to it,...

"Prior to June 13th, did you like Betty Gore?" Hulu has revealed the first teaser trailer for Candy, a true crime murder mystery series coming to Hulu this summer. True crime is such a popular subgenre they're churning out these kind of stories left and right for all the streaming services to play non-stop, just because audiences love to eat them up.
