It attempts to resurrect not just a dormant franchise, but the cinematic spoof genre as a whole after it was beaten to death by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer in the mid-aughts. Schaffer has been almost single-handedly keeping the genre on life support since his 2007 feature directorial debut, Hot Rod. Victoria Newman’s 180

Let’s start off with Victoria, who agrees to a truce with Adam. It’s about time as these siblings have bickered long enough. Fans watched as Adam has tried to go on a better path.

Victoria was one person who always doubted Adam’s transformations. However, a truce was coming because we saw how kind Adam was to Victoria during Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) hospitalization.

Chance Chancellor went out a hero on The Young and the Restless, risking his own life to save Cane and taking a bullet while struggling with Carter for his gun. In the process, the Genoa City cop is dead, but actor Conner Floyd deserved better.

Chance: Always on the Sidelines

Floyd, who’d played Chance since 2021, was one of many in a long revolving door of actors hired to play the good guy character. After taking over the role, he had a succession of stop-and-start storylines, the show never quite figuring out how to use him to his full potential.

During Floyd’s time on Y&R, Chance spent most of his time on the sidelines, only being brought to the forefront when there was a crime to solve. He was on the scene to investigate Phyllis’ (Michelle Stafford) “death,” Heather’s (Vail Bloom) murder, and, lastly, Damian’s (Jermaine Rivers) horrific demise.

Fans can’t stop buzzing about Sharon and Nick’s kiss on The Young and the Restless. Their trip to France brought them closer together. During a difficult moment, Nick asked Sharon to “come closer” so he could kiss her. What does that mean for Sharon’s newfound friendship with Phyllis?

Aristotle Dumas Was A Mirage

Billy spoke with the man he believed to be Aristotle this summer. Viewers wondered why Thompson’s character didn’t recognize Cane’s voice during that conversation, with Billy claiming an apparent lack of focus at the time.

The Young and the Restless recap for July 29 featured Cane dealing with the aftermath of Carter’s violent breakdown, Amanda urging him to regroup, and Lily shutting the door on him for good. Amanda reminded him he had been good to Carter (Vincent Stalba). None of this was his fault.

Carter will do anything for his boss, Cane, on The Young and the Restless. The assistant has been loyal to Cane in the short time he’s been on the show. But could this be the reason for Carter’s loyalty?

Carter (Vincent Stalba) has been a top-notch assistant for Cane (Billy Flynn). Aside from taking care of business matters, Carter’s devotion to his job goes much deeper. As seen on the latest episodes, Carter is willing to commit murder to make Cane happy.

Viewers assumed Carter was responsible for the murders, but his reason left many confused. His commitment to Cane goes above and beyond, so could it be because they have a special connection?

No one has shown up that is after Cane so far, but that doesn’t mean they won’t follow him to Genoa City. Will they finally catch up with him?

Lily ended up in danger. Carter wanted to kill her for the sake of his boss. Cane and Billy ended up saving Lily’s life, which could lead to a steamy love triangle on The Young and the Restless.

Coming To Her Rescue

Lily (Christel Khalil) found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. She ended up in Carter’s (Vincent Stalba) wrath, who was already on the warpath. Carter declared that he would do anything for his boss, Cane (Billy Flynn). He was groomed into thinking like that because Cane threw all the rules out of the window. We saw that in the way he treated his guests at his French estate.

Violence, murder, and mayhem were abundant on Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) private estate in France. First, Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) was killed.

Then, we discovered that the person responsible was Cane’s creepy assistant, Carter (Vincent Stalba), who attempted to take Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) hostage when Cane intervened.

Carter was just about to shoot Cane when suddenly, in a heroic twist, Chance dived for the gun and got shot protecting Cane’s life.

The detective’s dramatic exit came as no surprise. Conner Floyd is replacing Billy Flynn as Chad Dimera on Days of Our Lives.

Floyd was interviewed by TV Insider and said,

We knew that Conner Floyd’s time on The Young and the Restless was coming to an end, as the actor is moving over to Days of Our Lives in 2026, but we didn’t think Chance would be leaving Genoa City quite like this.

Upon being exposed as Damian’s killer, Carter also attempted to put Cane in the ground on Monday’s episode of the long-running CBS soap. Unfortunately, Chance intervened and, for his efforts, was fatally shot.
