First ever Asian-born contestant to compete on "Survivor."

Like "Boston" Rob Mariano she never made it to the jury portion of her previous game of Survivor.

Survivor: All-Stars winner Amber Brkich gave a Chevy car to Shii Ann as a thank you gift for giving her the million dollar prize.

Graduated with honors from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1996. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature.

Only "Survivor: All-Stars" contestant that was voted off before her tribes merged in her original appearance ("Survivor: Thailand").

In Survivor Thailand she received in every single tribal council at least one vote, total of 10 votes against her. In Survivor All-Stars she got her first and last votes when she was voted off the game, total of 5 votes.

Was asked to participate in Survivor : États-Unis (2000), "Heroes vs. Villains", but declined, having just given birth to a baby.
