Alexandra Qin is a French Filipino Chinese screenwriter and director based in New York. Before working in film, she was a software engineer, a prison reform activist, and an international public speaker. Her first short film, "Thirstygirl", was an official selection of Sundance '24 among 50 other festivals worldwide. The "Thirstygirl" feature screenplay was selected for the 2025 Sundance Screenwriters Lab, the 2024 Black List Projects Lab, the 2024 CAPE List, and the 2024 Antigravity Academy Screenwriters Camp. She is one of Vimeo's 10 Breakout Creators of 2024.
