Streaming has given the world multiple well-crafted thrillers like Black Mirror and Mr. Robot. But not many of those have managed to draw viewer attention like Severance has. There’s nothing as cerebral as this show right now. Severance, by Dan Erickson and Ben Stiller, blends sci-fi with visceral psychological drama. It currently holds a 95% critic rating and 79% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
This Apple TV+ original show reimagines a corporation so powerful that it has developed a tech that can surgically separate the personal and work memories of a person. In essence, the technique, called severance, can split human consciousness into two- called an “innie” and an “outie.” Severance explores themes of autonomy, corporate overreach, manipulation, and more.
Fans of Black Mirror and Mr. Robot will love this show. After all, if Black Mirror dissected our reliance on tech and Mr. Robot explored the fragility of the digital systems,...

It will be the lovers’ quarrel of the century during the Elsbeth Season 2 Finale. I’m talking a blood bath for the ages between a husband and wife, ready to throw it all away to take each other down.
There will be riots in the streets, TVs thrown through windows, and an outcry from the public asking why God has abandoned us. Okay, maybe it won’t be that bad, but it’ll be dramatic, nonetheless.
In case you haven’t heard, Carrie Preston’s husband, Michael Emerson, recently joined the cast of Elsbeth as a recurring character. Who doesn’t love to work with their significant other? Everyone, that’s who.
(Michael Parmelee/CBS)
Emerson came on board for those not in the know as the titular character’s newest nemesis, rival, and ultimate enemy.
To be fair, Michael Emerson has Vf or Villain Face. The CBS series will...

The series has become known for the episodic guest stars, who are usually the murderer of the week. It’s a chance to see familiar TV faces having a good time with homicide.
The first season of Elsbeth featured many actors who had previously appeared on sister shows The Good Wife and The Good Fight.
(Michael Parmelee/CBS (Canva Collage))
The current season has diversified the hiring pool by bringing in big industry-name vets to flesh out some of the more whimsical murder cases.
Who could forget Laurie Metcalf (The Conners) as Regina Coburn on Elsbeth Season 2 Episode 8 when she stabbed her producer through the eye with a stiletto heel?

There was a lot of good TV in 2024. It was an unusual year overall, the product of a post-strike Hollywood in the midst of a feverish industry-wide evolution from streaming to the cineplex, but plenty of great series still flowed throughout the year. Horror TV was no different: a slowdown in output didn’t mean a slowdown in quality, and there were a handful of outstanding horror shows in 2024 — a couple of them easily among the best shows of the year overall, and sadly, a couple of them also bowing out for their final seasons.
Here are our picks for the best of the best horror TV shows of 2024.
“Interview With the Vampire” Season 2 (AMC) ‘Interview With the Vampire’
“Interview With the Vampire’s” second season was some of the best television of the year, full stop, and definitely the best horror show of 2024. Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid continue...

2024 had a lot of TV shows ending, which included plenty of sci-fi and fantasy shows. And some of those endings left fans hungry for more!
It's no surprise that TV networks and streamers have a bad habit of canceling some shows too early. That's more true for sci-fi and fantasy shows that have a harder time capturing a large audience to justify their large budgets. It's jarring that some shows barely seemed to get out of the gate before being cut short. From famous shows to more overlooked ones, here's a look at the sci-fi/fantasy show cancellations that really angered folks in 2024!

Some may argue that this Star Wars show about a pair of Force-sensitive sisters was bad.

CBS’s Elsbeth will become a family affair when Emmy winner Michael Emerson (Evil) joins the season two cast in a recurring role. Emerson, who is married to series star Carrie Preston, will kick off his special guest starring run with the Thursday, December 12, 2024 episode.
Per CBS: “Emerson will join the critically acclaimed series as a foil to his wife’s Elsbeth Tascioni, in which he will play Judge Milton Crawford, a haughty, soft-spoken and bespectacled man from an old New England family of public servants who sees his place in the nation’s elite as a birthright. Additional episode dates will be announced at a later date.”

When it comes to horror movies, we’ve all wondered how our favorite TV characters would fare if they found themselves face-to-face with some of cinema’s most terrifying monsters.
Would they have the skills, guts, or sheer luck to survive, or would they meet a grisly end before the credits roll?
From the detectives of NCIS to the quirky residents of Only Murders in the Building — and yes, even Morgan from High Potential — this list puts some of the most iconic TV characters in a horror movie scenario.
(David Bukach/Disney)
So, who would survive, and who’s destined for a final scream? Let’s find out which TV characters would live to tell the tale — and which ones wouldn’t stand a chance.
Athena Grant (9-1-1)
Survival Odds: High
(Disney/Eric McCandless)
Athena Grant has faced everything from serial killers to natural disasters, so what’s a horror movie monster in comparison?...

It’s been 15 years since “The Good Wife” first premiered on CBS, seven years since its initial spinoff, “The Good Fight,” helped launch CBS All Access, and zero years since “Elsbeth” brings the “Good” universe full circle. On February 29, 2024, the franchise returns to CBS — albeit with every advertisement noting you can also watch episodes on CBS All Access Paramount+ — as the Carrie Preston-starring drama series extends Robert and Michelle King’s legal procedurals into new territory: Instead of outwitting her fellow attorneys, Elsbeth now polices the police.
Preston stars as Elsbeth Tascioni, a defense attorney first introduced in “The Good Wife” (and brought back for “The Good Fight”) whose ceaselessly chipper demeanor encourages friends and enemies alike to underestimate her at every turn. In the “Elsbeth” pilot, she enters a crime scene wearing a foam Statue of Liberty hat, shamelessly flaunting her image as the bright-eyed tourist in a city of hardened cynics.
