- Fredrik Wikingsson is a prominent Swedish journalist, TV host, podcaster, filmmaker, and author. Along with his longtime creative partner, Filip Hammar, Fredrik makes up one half of the celebrated duo Filip & Fredrik. Since the early 2000s, they have developed, produced, and hosted over 20 original television shows, leaving a lasting impact on Swedish entertainment. Their unique blend of humor, originality, warmth, and outspokenness has earned them numerous awards and a dedicated fan base.
Among their most notable TV formats are the travel series 6 Degrees of Separation and High Chaparrall, the talk shows Breaking News and Boston Tea Party, and their award-winning trivia show Alla mot Alla, which has aired over 700 episodes.
In 2015, Filip and Fredrik ventured into filmmaking with their acclaimed documentary Nice People. They followed this success by co-writing and directing their debut feature film, The Cake General (2018), which achieved significant box office success.
Their latest project, The Last Journey (2024), is a deeply personal documentary about Filip's aging father, Lars. The film has achieved groundbreaking success in Swedish cinemas, becoming the most-watched documentary in the country's history. The Last Journey has also been selected as Sweden's official submission for Best International Feature at the 97th Academy Awards.
Fredrik Wikingsson runs the production company Nexiko, which he co-founded in 2013 with Filip Hammar, Mikael Svensson, and Lars Beckung. Today, Nexiko is the largest independent production company in Scandinavia.
