He began his career as a teenager acting in local theater in the early 1990's in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and became well-known in the Gulf South for starring in and writing multiple plays throughout the 1990's and 2000''s before moving to Los Angeles and later to New York. His play "Call Me Izzy" starring Jean Smart was on Broadway in 2025.
