Filip Hammar

Filip Hammar is a distinguished Swedish filmmaker, journalist, TV host, and author. The son of high school teachers Lars and Tiina Hammar, Filip rose to fame as one-half of the renowned duo Filip & Fredrik. Since 2000, he and his creative partner, Fredrik Wikingsson, have developed, produced, and hosted over 20 original television shows, leaving an indelible mark on Swedish entertainment. Their distinctive blend of humor, originality, warmth, and cultural commentary has earned them numerous awards and a devoted audience.

Among their most notable TV formats are the travel series 6 Degrees of Separation and High Chaparrall, the talk shows Breaking News and Boston Tea Party, and their hit trivia show Alla mot Alla, which has aired over 700 episodes.

The duo has also expanded their storytelling to film, co-writing and directing their debut feature, The Cake General (2018), and releasing the acclaimed documentary Nice People (2015).

Filip and Fredrik's most recent project, The Last Journey (2024), is a deeply personal documentary about Filip's aging father Lars. The film has achieved groundbreaking success at the box office, becoming the most-watched documentary in Swedish history. The Last Journey has also been selected as Sweden's official submission for Best International Feature at the 97th Academy Awards.

Filip Hammar runs the production company Nexiko, which he co-founded in 2013 with Fredrik Wikingsson, Mikael Svensson, and Lars Beckung. Today, Nexiko is the biggest independent production company in all of Scandinavia.

Filip Hammar resides in Los Angeles with his fiancée, actress Agnes Lindström Bolmgren, and his two children Ilse and Tage.
