Biography

Ever since leaving the rainy city of Seattle and moving to Los Angeles to pursue a B.A. in Theatre Arts at Loyola Marymount, Makenna has acted in over 20 short films. Having the privilege of making people laugh is Makenna's favorite part of being an actor.

As an actor, Makenna Ginn is Karen Smith from Mean Girls with the comedy chops of Heidi Gardner from SNL. She fits in the world of shows such as The Sex Lives of College Girls, Outer Banks, and Euphoria. In the feature film world, you would see her as the funny, sassy, opinionated bridesmaid in a Paul Feig film or the air headed, charismatic, pageant contestant in a Donald Petrie film. She is definitely in the most popular clique at school, but she secretly hate all of her friends. Her idea of making it big in life is to be a professional shop-a-holic. If that fails, she would totally open a bikini shop in Costa Rica and surf in her free time. Even though she has the ability and charisma to seduce any man she wants, she is so much more than just another hot blonde. She is the trendy, laid back, fun, flirty girl, who may come across as an elevated mean girl but deep down is just another insecure teenager trying to figure her shit out.

Outside of acting, Makenna enjoys singing and playing the piano which sparked her recent love for composing/writing music. Makenna has written two short films and one 10-minute play. She loves being able to create an entirely new world within her writing. Makenna also hits the hot yoga studio at least 3 times a week which keeps her sane. In the spirit of moving to California, Makenna has also been learning how to surf and will need to continue learning because she sucks.
