The case of Detective Lucky Duck was finally quacked on Wednesday’s episode of Fox’s “The Masked Singer.” Taika Waititi was the latest celebrity to be revealed on Season 13 of Fox’s “The Masked Singer,” playing the mysterious character that had popped up all season long on the show to share clues about the competition’s costumed contestants.
Lucky Duck appeared at the end of this week’s semi-finals episode, and instead of letting the show’s panelists guess his identity, he unmasked himself. And it was a familiar face for one of the show’s panelists: Waititi is husband to the show’s Rita Ora.
“Semi-Finals Night” brought together the final five contestants standing: Group A’s Coral, Group B’s Pearl and Boogie Woogie and Group C’s Mad Scientist Monster.

Kelly Clarkson had a cameo appearance on the hit ABC series The Rookie in 2023. Looking back, she's feeling sorry for the way that she acted on the set.
Clarkson discussed her guest appearance on the Season 5 episode, "Death Notice," during a Q&a session for The Kelly Clarkson Show. She shared how she was ecstatic when the offer came in to appear on The Rookie, as she was already a very big fan of the series. Unfortunately, she was perhaps too much of a fan, as she says the shoot was the most nervous she's ever felt on a set. This led to her acting like an "idiot," and she is now offering an apology to the cast and crew.

Amy Poehler loves Below Deck and wants to join as a crew member, even joking about becoming the captain. She prefers Below Deck over reality shows without a purpose like Real Housewives because she enjoys the work aspect. Although Amy thinks she'd do poorly on Survivor, being a charter guest on Below Deck would be more likely.
Saturday Night Live's Amy Poehler is such a big fan of Below Deck that she wants to join the Bravo reality show in a major crew member role. Dr. Pepper Fansville features a star-studded cast with notable celebrity cameos, from actors to athletes, in over-the-top commercials. The ensemble cast brings to life the exaggerated town of Fansville, showcasing a mix of stereotypical high school drama characters. Dr. Pepper branding is prominent in the commercials, but the talented cast members deliver funny performances that keep viewers entertained.

Rj Helton opened up about their American Idol experience, including feeling pressured to change themself to fit producers' expectations. Nigel Lythgoe denies stopping contestants from coming out, but R.J. is now speaking out against the suppression they faced. Nominations for the 2024 Outer Critics Circle Awards were announced on Tuesday, April 23. The stars of the hit Broadway revival of “Merrily We Roll Along,” Jonathan Groff, Lindsay Mendez and Daniel Radcliffe, read off the nominees live from the Museum of Broadway.
Off-Broadway productions ultimately out-paced Broadway with this critics group. The new David Yazbek musical “Dead Outlaw” led the pack with nine nominations. It was followed by “The Connector,” another Off-Broadway musical, and “Stereophonic,” a lauded Broadway play, with seven nominations each.
While there are no Tony nominators in the Outer Critics Circle membership, these nominations can provide some clues as to how theater aficionados are thinking about this season’s Tony race. Of the five productions cited for Best New Broadway Musical, only “Days of Wine and Roses” and “Suffs” made the cut in the all-important Best Score category. Daniel Radcliffe won’t be competing against his Merrily We Roll Along Broadway co-star Jonathan Groff for a Tony Award next June, and the reason has nothing to do with performance quality: The awards administration committee ruled today that Radcliffe will be eligible in the featured performer category, apparently leaving the lead category to Groff.
Lindsay Mendez, who plays Mary Flynn, the musical’s most prominent female character, will, like Radcliffe, who plays Charley Kringas, be eligible in the featured slot (the Tony’s equivalent to Oscar’s “supporting” categories).
While Groff’s character of Franklin Shepard has traditionally been considered the main character of the Stephen Sondheim-George Furth musical, this year’s hit Maria Friedman-directed revival included the three stars’ names above the title, leaving some wiggle room with regard to the category decisions.
Indeed, audience members might be hard-pressed to decide which actor goes where: While...

Anderson as Rubber Ducky sang “Come On Eileen,” by Dexy’s Midnight Runners, for his performance. Here was his clue package voiceover: “Hey there. The name’s Rubber Ducky. Ready to splash on the stage. Here’s how my story goes. Movies and TV shows, I’m used to being the rage.

The Below Deck franchise features a variety of charter guests who vacation on luxurious yachts, some pleasant and others difficult to deal with. Memorable charter guests include an American Idol alum, a disruptive lawyer, an adult film star, and a musician who became a party animal. The crew members' main goal is to ensure the charter guests have a great time on the yacht, catering to their needs and avoiding complaints or mishaps.
The Below Deck franchise has welcomed many iconic charter guests on the show over the years, and one of them was even an American Idol alum. Below Deck premiered on Bravo in 2013, and has since added four spinoffs to its roster; Below Deck Mediterranean, Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Below Deck Down Under, and Below Deck Adventure. Each Below Deck spinoff is very similar, and centers around a group of crew members who live and work aboard a yacht together.

A trip with friends, food, and a cooking contest at a festival — what can go wrong? A lot, apparently, according to the first trailer for Tripped Up, the upcoming comedy from Decal starring Elemental's Leah Lewis.
With only four feature films in her filmography, Leah Lewis is already one of Hollywood's next big promises. After conquering teenage audiences in Netflix's queer drama The Half of It, and doing the same with family audiences thanks to Pixar's latest film, the actress stars in Shruti Ganguly's directorial debut.
Tripped Up follows the story of an aspiring chef who travels with her friends to participate in a cooking competition. But what seemed like a calm trip for professional purposes turns into absolute chaos, leading the friends to strengthen their bond despite adversity.

Once Upon a One More Time will play its final Broadway performance Sept. 3.
The musical, which features the songs of Britney Spears and a storyline about fairytale princesses in search of enlightenment, began preview performances at the Marquis Theatre on May 13 and opened June 22. Spears approved the musical and suggested its initial themes. She also signed an underlying rights agreement with the show, which was notably one of the first deals Spears signed since a judge terminated her conservatorship.
The closing notice comes as the musical failed to catch on with critics and with Broadway audiences, with the show reporting capacities in the 50 percent range for the past seven weeks. In the last publicly reported week of grosses, ended Aug. 13, the musical grossed its lowest eight-performance week yet, bringing in $512,008.

Hit me, Britney, one more time? In 2005, the Lady of the Lake in Monty Python’s Spamalot lamented, “I’m constantly replaced by Britney Spears.” These days, a lot of composers trying to get their scores onto Broadway stages could sing the same lyric: Spears’s music burst onto Broadway in Moulin Rouge in 2019 (“Toxic” appears in a mashup alongside Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance”) and five of her songs appear in the jukebox musical & Juliet, including “…Baby One More Time,” “Oops!…I Did It Again,” and “Stronger.”
All four of those songs feature in the first all-Britney musical, Once Upon a One More Time, a frivolously delightful entry into the jukebox genre. Even though recent Broadway seasons have brought pro forma biographical musicals like Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, Mj, and A Beautiful Noise, there’s been far greater pleasure in shows like Moulin Rouge, & Juliet, and the delirious...

Bad Cinderella could have been the poison apple that killed off revisionist fairy tales once and for all, but Britney Spears and Once Upon A One More Time, the new Broadway musical opening tonight that brims with her hits and high spirits, has come along to deliver a happy ever after that’s as unexpected as it is enchanting. Smart, funny, splendid to look at and all with a beat you can dance to, this tribute to the Brothers Grimm, the sisters of the Second Wave and, not least, the indomitable Ms. Spears, is a delight.
Husband and wife director & choreographers Keone & Mari Madrid have collaborated with book writer Jon Hartmere to come up with a technicolor confection that’s clever enough to play dumb once in a while, giddy enough to make a few points along the way and so winningly performed it seems a collection of beauties, princesses,...

Getting the chance to audition for American Idol feels like a dream come true. By the time someone has made it onto the popular reality competition series and is singing for the judges, they have already put in a lot of hard work. While anyone can apply for American Idol as long as they are of a certain age, viewers know that not every audition is shown on TV.
Winning American Idol can result in an incredible music career. This is exactly what happened to season 1's Kelly Clarkson. But is there a reason why only some people are chosen to appear on American Idol? Do the judges make sure that they are choosing singers who will make a splash and get attention?
How Do You Apply For American Idol?
While Elton John has strong opinions about American Idol, there's no question that tons of people are thrilled to audition for each season.

Once Upon A One More Time is one of the first Britney Spears-backed projects following the termination of her 13-year conservatorship.
Helmed by directors and choreographers Keone and Mari Madrid, with an original story by Jon Hartmere, the musical comedy is slated to open on June 22 at the Marquis Theater and will feature hits like “Oops I Did It Again,” “Lucky,” “Circus” and “Toxic.”
Ahead of its Broadway run, Once Upon a One More Time attempted a pre-Broadway engagement in Chicago beginning in 2019. Initially set for the James M. Nederlander Theatre in October, it would be delayed, and the opening rescheduled for April 2020. But in March, the pandemic shut down the theater industry, with the show’s producers eventually deciding to cancel the planned engagement altogether.

“I don’t think I’ve experienced a theater season in New York ever like this one,” noted Artistic Director Gabriel Stelian-Shanks. “There’s been a range, a breadth, an expansion of possibility that has been truly astonishing to witness. Theater makers have inspired not only with their creativity, but also with their drive and determination to serve audiences with vision and talent. These nominees reflect the promise and greatness inherent in the work of theater folk, and I can’t help but be deeply proud.

American Idol season 21 is finished with its audition and Hollywood Week rounds, but the show should revise the amount of airtime devoted to each of them in the future. American Idol devoted six episodes to the auditions, which aired from February 19 through March 26. During Hollywood Week Part 1, seven alumni mentors returned to the show to coach the contestants in one of three categories: confidence (Clay Aiken and David Archuleta), stage presence (Justin Guarini and Jordin Sparks), or songwriting (Phillip Phillips and Catie Turner). Noah Thompson also appeared to help the contestants. All of this aired in just one episode.
American Idol season 21 then aired one episode that featured the duets challenge. The next two episodes included footage from the Showstoppers round, as each contestant learned their fate from judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan in the Final Judgment. The Top 26 will then perform from Disney's Aulani Resort in Hawaii over two nights,...

American Idol mainstay Ryan Seacrest has no intention of leaving the series, but if he ever does decide to give up the gig, there are some AI alums who would be perfect for the job. In his role, Ryan emcees the live shows, and also serves as a support system for the auditioning contestants. He chats with them before they enter the audition room, and Ryan's there when they come out with their results. He helps them to celebrate, or consoles them.
Although Ryan is currently hosting American Idol season 21, it is possible that he will eventually decide to hand the reins to someone else. After 20 seasons of competition, there are plenty of American Idol finalists who could host the singing competition. Many of the contestants have already taken on hosting roles in other projects, so they have relevant experience. Here are some American Idol alums who could fill Ryan's shoes.

The revival of “American Idol” continues with its sixth season on ABC and 21st overall. The Season 21 Top 26 were chosen from those who survived Hollywood Week. Each of these contestants had to sing in the Showstopper round to convince the three judges — Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie — that they deserved a place in the “American Idol” Top 26.
In turn, each of these “American Idol” Season 21 finalists performed for America’s vote from Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii. Grammy nominee Noah Cyrus and soul singer Allen Stone served as mentors. The Top 20 then returned to Hollywood and continued to perform for America’s vote until a champion was crowned. Additional mentors this season included Clay Aiken, David Archuleta, Justin Guarini, Phillip Phillips, Jordin Sparks and Catie Turner.

American Idol season 21 is jam-packed with talented singers, and a few of them have previous experience with a reality singing competition show, as they appeared on The Voice. The American Idol judges traveled to Las Vegas, Nashville, and New Orleans to choose the best singers from the auditions. Those contestants then moved on to Hollywood Week, during which they performed in three rounds of competition. Instead of the American Idol genre challenge, the first round of Hollywood Week allowed the contestants to choose one of three areas that they wanted to work on: confidence, songwriting, or stage presence.
Two American Idol alumni mentors worked with the contestants in each category: confidence (Clay Aiken and David Archuleta), songwriting (Catie Turner and Phillip Phillips), and stage presence (Jordin Sparks and Justin Guarini). Season 20 winner Noah Thompson also guided the contestants. The second round was duets, during which the contestants chose their partners.
