Shokat Harjo is a Norwegian actor and filmmaker.
Fluent in Norwegian, English, Arabic, and Kurdish, he made his feature film debut in Gritt (2019) and appeared at the Norwegian Theatre in 2022. His recent acting work includes a role in the Netflix series Billionaire Island.
Beyond acting, Harjo founded Honning Film in 2021, where he works as a director and producer. He has produced several short films, as well as the play Hull, staged at the Norwegian Theatre in 2023.
Harjo directed the award-winning thriller Edderkoppen (2021), which has received over 15 international awards. In 2023, he co-directed, co-wrote, and starred in I Walked Alone, which premiered at the Oscar-qualifying 47th Norwegian Short Film Festival in 2024. His 2024 short film Last Stop, which he directed, wrote, and produced, premiered at the 52nd Curtas Festival do Imaxinario and the 14th London Kurdish Film Festival in 2025.
