Yoasobi is a Japanese pop duo formed in 2019 by Ayase and Lilas Ikuta (Ikura). Ikura is the lead vocal while Ayase is responsible for creating songs.
Originally, Yoasobi created their music based on novels posted on Monogatary. They released their first song "Yoru ni Kakeru", based on Mayo Hoshino's short story "Thanatos no Yuwaku", in November 2019. Since then, Yoasobi has gone on to produce songs based on media other than novels on Monogatary. For example, "Shukufuku", the theme song of the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury", was based on the short story "Yurikago no Hoshi" written by Ichiro Okouchi, the writer of the anime.
Since 2021, Yoasobi started to translate their songs into English. The first English song "Into the Night", translated from "Yoru ni Kakeru", was released in July 2021. Additionally, Yoasobi had their first concert tour in 2023, titled "Yoasobi Arena Tour "Denkosekka". They have since gone on to held multiple tours.
