Richard J. Bosner has been a producer on several films over the years, including Fruitvale Station, Black Bear, and Paint, and now he has made his feature directorial debut with the horror film Devoted, based on a short film called Devotee, which he made last year. Variety reports that Bosner assembled a strong cast for the film, including Mena Suvari (American Beauty), Skeet Ulrich (Scream), Elizabeth Marvel (Helstrom), Lin Shaye (Insidious), Alicia Sanz (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series), and Nick Stahl (Carnivale).
Now making its way through post-production, Devoted is produced by Bosner, along with Robert Ogden Barnum, Eric Binns, and Carissa Knol. Danny Chan, Dana Guerin, John Frank Rosenblum, Matt Rhodes, Tyler Transki, Michael Sklut, and Sam Maydew serve as executive producers.

Some Legacy Lightsabers have been retired, but many can still be purchased at Dok-Ondar's in Galaxy's Edge or online at ShopDisney. The Legacy Lightsabers include famous blades like Luke Skywalker's green lightsaber, Anakin Skywalker's blue lightsaber, and Darth Vader's red lightsaber.

A significant change made in Obi-Wan Kenobi suggests that Star Wars has abandoned one of George Lucas' earliest concepts, and it's been a disappointing turn for the franchise. Obi-Wan Kenobi was a truly thrilling addition to Star Wars movies and TV shows, especially because it brought back many of Star Wars' best characters. In addition to Ewan McGregor returning as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi introduced 10-year-old Luke Skywalker (Grant Feely) and Leia Organa (Vivien Lyra Blair).
Along with these characters came the revelation that Leia and Obi-Wan had a much more extensive connection than A New Hope or Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith let on. Those movies made it seem like Leia had not encountered Obi-Wan after she was born in Revenge of the Sith, but Obi-Wan Kenobi revealed that Obi-Wan and Leia had a...

Star Wars has gradually shown more and more of Luke's new Jedi Order after the Empire, and one Order 66 survivor was much more instrumental to it than most fans know. The prequel Jedi were completely decimated by the Jedi Purge, until the likes of Luke Skywalker. Luke began to pick up the pieces around 24 years after the Purge, collecting Jedi history and knowledge to restart the Jedi Order - and restart it he did, on an ancient Jedi library world.
Luke established a new Jedi Temple on Ossus, and he began to teach students in the ways of the Jedi. The young Jedi had learned a bit from his masters, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda, but not nearly enough to start an entire new Order. Star Wars canon, though, has shown us that it was actually another Order 66 survivor that contributed a huge chunk of knowledge to Luke and his new Jedi Order.

Lights, camera, action – Gunner certainly delivers on pulse-pounding fight sequences and gripping chase scenes. At the helm is director Dimitri Logothetis, bringing his vision for a modern military action flick to life. He assembles an all-star cast led by Luke Hemsworth in the role of Lee Gunner, a special forces soldier driven to save his sons by any means necessary.
When Lee takes his boys camping, their retreat quickly turns risky upon stumbling on a major drug ring in the woods. As their uncle perishes in an explosion and the boys get snatched, it’s up to Lee to wage an one-man war to bring them home safe. We see him systematically combating the traffickers with tactical precision. Hemsworth inhabits the intense role of the battle-hardened hero perfectly.
Along the way he butts heads with the villainous Dobbs Ryker, the son of the imprisoned crime lord played chillingly by Morgan Freeman.

As Star Wars continues to expand, recasting iconic characters may become necessary due to age constraints on original actors. Characters like Luke Skywalker are protected by audiences, but even he has been played by stand-ins like Max Lloyd-Jones. The New Republic era in The Mandalorian & Grogu brings opportunities for characters like Leia Organa to be reintroduced via recasts, despite challenges after Fisher's passing.
With Star Wars next upcoming movie The Mandalorian & Grogu on the horizon, it might be time for the franchise to recast one iconic character. Because Star Wars has been around for nearly 50 years, actors from the original and prequel trilogies are often too old to reprise their roles. Even in animation, its not uncommon for voice actors to take over the role for animated projects. This was seen a lot in Star Wars with Star Wars: The Clone Wars, where the only actor reprising their...

Luke Skywalker's absence in upcoming Star Wars movies may be for the best. Despite Luke being a crucial part of the Mandalorian era, it remains unclear if he will appear in The Mandalorian & Grogu. The movie must decide whether to include Hamill, recast Luke, or offer an excuse for his absence.
Luke Skywalker has undoubtedly been an essential part of Star Wars from the very beginning of the franchise, but I don't think Luke (or Mark Hamill) will be back in Star Wars' upcoming moviesand that's probably for the best. Luke Skywalker is easily one of Star Wars' best characters. Not only is Luke one of the franchise's original heroes, but he is also one of Star Wars' most powerful Jedi. In fact, in a way, he is Star Wars' first true Jedi chronologically, as neither Obi-Wan Kenobi nor Master Yoda were at their full potential during the original trilogy.

Mark Hamill's original idea for Luke Skywalker in Return of the Jedi could have added a deeper conflict within him. Despite the beloved status of Return of the Jedi, Hamill's idea may have made the iconic film even more compelling. Luke's brief temptation towards the dark side in the film could have been explored further, adding more depth to his character.
During Fan Expo Chicago, Star Wars legend Mark Hamill revealed that he'd been disappointed in one aspect of Luke Skywalker's story in Return of the Jediand his idea was so much better. Return of the Jedi, like the entire original trilogy, is considered one of Star Wars' best movies, and it remains beloved among Star Wars movies and TV shows. In fact, many believe that this movie, which concluded the original trilogy, fully stuck the landing, giving the perfect ending to the stories of some of Star Wars' best characters.

The Star Wars original trilogy owes quite a bit of its quality to the actors who brought the galaxy far, far away to life. If the original trilogy was made in the 2010s instead of the 1970s, there are ten actors who would be great fits to play Star Wars' most iconic characters. Some of the stars of the 2010s, like Andrew Garfield, Emilia Clarke, and Jamie Foxx, may have been able to replicate Star Wars' success.

Luke's potential as a Jedi Master surpasses Anakin's achievements. Luke's wisdom in learning from other Force traditions sets him apart from Anakin. Luke's discipline and commitment to the Jedi way make him more powerful than Anakin in their primes.
Luke Skywalker and Anakin Skywalker are two of Star Wars' most powerful characters, but who is more powerful between the two of them? Luke and Anakin are both considered two of Star Wars' most powerful Jedi, although Anakin also became one of Star Wars' most powerful Sith as Darth Vader. However, even George Lucas has stated that Anakin's powers were lessened as Darth Vader because his suit and his severe injuries inhibited him.

Luke Skywalker's journey from farm boy to Jedi master is a cornerstone of the Star Wars franchise. Luke's age at different points in the series informs his character development and motivations. Mark Hamill's return as Luke Skywalker in various Star Wars projects showcases the character's growth.
Luke Skywalker is one of the most iconic characters in Star Wars, but the characters age throughout the franchise may be surprising. Luke Skywalker was the main character in the original Star Wars trilogy, with his journey from small farm boy on Tatooine to hero of the galaxy becoming one of the most well-known in history. Luke was the first character audiences ever got to see become a Jedi, and his journey has helped craft the entire Star Wars franchise after the original trilogy.
Originally, Luke Skywalker was called Luke Starkiller - a surname that has since been used in the Star Wars franchise.

The title "Return of the Jedi" may not just refer to Luke Skywalker, but also to Anakin Skywalker's redemption. Anakin's return to the light side of the Force is a key focus of the movie, reflecting George Lucas' vision. While Luke brings back the Jedi, the title also symbolizes Darth Vader's return as Anakin Skywalker.
One shocking Star Wars theory suggests the title of Return of the Jedi might not really be about Luke Skywalker after all. Hayden Christensen returned as Anakin Skywalker & Darth Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi, facing challenges like underwater filming. Christensen had to hold his breath for Vader's bacta tank scenes, practicing breath-holding techniques to endure long submerged moments. Obi-Wan Kenobi takes place 10 years post-Revenge of the Sith, depicting Obi-Wan's struggle to protect the future.
Hayden Christensen's long-awaited Star Wars return presented the actor with a unique challenge during the filming of a now-iconic moment from Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi. The actor first made his Star Wars debut in 2003 in Episode II - Attack of the Clones as impulsive Jedi Padawan Anakin Skywalker, before Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith would depict the final steps towards his path to the Dark Side in 2005. Christensen would make his return in 2022 with Obi-Wan Kenobi, reprising the role of both Anakin Skywalker, as well as donning the armor of the Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Did you know that the "Five Nights at Freddy's" trailer features more than one version of Freddy Fazbear? That's right. The Freddy that is shown on stage ready to sing with Bonnie, Foxy, and Chica is not the same Freddy shown in the back seat with Abby Schmidt (Piper Rubio). That Freddy is known as Golden Freddy and is a completely different character with different motivations. I know, unless you've dedicated years of your life to making sense of the lore, this might not be the easiest thing to follow. The best way I can explain it is that Golden Freddy is like ... a limited edition version of Freddy Fazbear.
He looks similar to the original character, but he's not the original character, nor is he controlled by the same child's soul. Yeah, those animatronics are controlled by the ghosts of dead kids, in case you didn't know. The games...

"Tell me how to stop them?" "You don't." Blumhouse has revealed a second official trailer for Five Nights At Freddy's, arriving in theaters just in time for Halloween this fall. The first two trailers have been pretty good, maybe more footage will get your attention. Based on the super popular video game series of the same name. The series consists of nine games at various locations connected to a family pizza restaurant franchise named "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza", based on its mascot, the animatronic bear Freddy Fazbear. In this horror movie, a troubled security guard begins working at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy's has awoken something horrifying. Starring Josh Hutcherson, also with Matthew Lillard, Elizabeth Lail, Mary Stuart Masterson, Kat Conner Sterling, Jessica Weiss, and Grant Feely. Very curious to see how they expand this story with these animatronic monsters.

Darth Vader “was such an iconic character ever since I was a little kid, so getting to play this role was really just the opportunity of a lifetime,” reveals Hayden Christensen about returning to the “Star Wars” fold as the legendary character. For our recent webchat he adds, “I don’t know that I could ever fully get my head around how big it was, just because it didn’t really serve my purposes as an actor, and trying to figure out how to play this character,” he explains, “to come back all these years later and do some more with him has just been a phenomenal experience.” Watch our exclusive video interview above.

“I was a genre kid, I was a little goth kid. I was all about sci-fi and fantasy and this was always the pinnacle of everything,” reveals director/producer Deborah Chow about what leading the creative team behind “Obi-Wan Kenobi” meant to her. For our recent webchat she adds, “it definitely felt surreal in moments, for sure. I remember the very first time we were doing a camera test, it wasn’t even the proper costume. But, you know he was in something approximating it, and he walked out, and it was just like, ‘oh, my God, it’s Obi-Wan Kenobi’ and he just sort of fell so seamlessly back into the character,” she says. “They’re so iconic that it is a little crazy to have them standing in front of you. Lucasfilm’s latest Star Wars streaming series, Andor, has been praised for its cast’s nuanced performances, from Diego Luna’s thrilling work in the title role to Stellan Skarsgård’s fierce portrayal of Rebel bankroller Luthen Rael to Genevieve O’Reilly’s poignant turn as Mon Mothma, torn between her duties as an Imperial senator and her secret work with the Rebellion.
O’Reilly is hardly the first actor to put her own personal stamp on a Star Wars role played by a different actor. She took over the role of Mon Mothma from Caroline Blakiston, Ewan McGregor took over the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi from Alec Guinness, and Temuera Morrison took over the role of Boba Fett from Jeremy Bulloch and Daniel Logan.

"Star Wars" tends to hog the spotlight during discussions of legacy characters and the weight that new actors feel when taking over the roles first embodied by such big-name actors. The recently-wrapped "Obi-Wan Kenobi" uses several recast characters to tell its story, for instance: Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan, Hayden Christensen's Anakin, Vivien Lyra Blair as young Leia, and Grant Feely as young Luke. But that other major sci-fi franchise currently ongoing, "Star Trek," has faced (and overcome) similar challenges in terms of finding the perfect actors to channel the performances laid down by their predecessors.

Warning: major spoilers ahead for the "Obi-Wan Kenobi" season finale.
The season finale of "Obi-Wan Kenobi" ends on a rather emotional note, as things (kind of) come full circle for our central characters, setting them back on the paths they are meant to take moving forward. The episode's highlight is an epic final confrontation between Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) and Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen), paving the way for many callbacks, which, in turn, line up fairly well with the emotional arcs of the characters involved.
The episode also allows us a somewhat-more detailed glimpse into a young Luke Skywalker (Grant Feely), who does not even...

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Obi-Wan Kenobi” Episode 1 and Episode 2, “Part 1” and “Part II.”]
About 23 minutes into the premiere of “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” an old Star Wars friend shows up. First there’s an establishing shot of an unfamiliar city and planet, and then a montage of various people assisting a small child get dressed in a pristine white tunic with purple accents. There can be no mistaking that elaborate hairdo, even on such a tiny head: This is young Leia Organa.
Well, not exactly. It’s a friend Leia enlists to play a prank on her mother, but with a triumphant swell of John Williams and Natalie Holt’s score we quickly cut to the real Leia (Vivien Lyra Blair), sprinting through the forest while her braids trail behind her.
For too long — and probably still — Star Wars has been unable to quit Luke Skywalker. The hero of George Lucas’ original films, portrayed by Mark Hamill,...

Spoiler Alert: This review contains some minor spoilers for the first two episodes of “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” which premiered May 27 on Disney+.
The extensive recap of the “Star Wars” prequels that opens the new “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series is as utilitarian as it is canny. On the one hand, it serves as a reminder of the plot basics that led to this moment in the franchise, with Ewan McGregor’s jaded Jedi reluctantly digging up his old lightsaber 10 years after Anakin Skywalker went to the Dark Side. On the other, getting such a concentrated shot of those 20 year-old movies serves as a handy reminder of their infamy, how much has happened in Lucasfilm’s ever-expanding galaxy since, and why “Obi-Wan Kenobi” represents a singular opportunity within it. For as many “Star Wars” projects as there are in development, this one’s characters and mythology are the most directly tied to the original...

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 1 and 2
Ewan McGregor’s return as Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi is a Prequel kid dream. With the sort of cast reunion the Sequel Trilogy provided for the children of the ’80s, McGregor and Hayden Christensen are poised to stoke the same fervor for fans who grew up in the early 2000s. Luckily, Deborah Chow brings her directorial confidence from The Mandalorian to a strong start for the six-episode Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries. Disney was extremely secretive about the plot details of the new Star Wars series "Obi-Wan Kenobi," which started streaming episodes on May 27. Fans knew about a lot of the cast. Ewan McGregor would be back as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Hayden Christensen would reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker, and Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse would return as Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, watching over a young Luke Skywalker (Grant Feely). But viewers didn't know that Luke's sister would be in the show, too. Vivien Lyra Blair plays a 10-year-old Princess Leia, and from the first moment she's on screen, she's an absolute delight.
