As KPop Demon Hunters continues to grow into a full blown cultural phenomena, Netflix is preparing to put a sing-along version of film into theaters this weekend.
Ejae, the singing voice of Rumi and one of the songwriters responsible for some of the film’s biggest hits, stopped by an advanced screening of the sing-along at Netflix’s Hollywood headquarters Tuesday night. The 33-year-old was met much fanfare from the intimate crowd.
“I’m speechless. This has all been insane. I’ve been crying a lot,” she jokingly told the crowd, which included her Rumi voice actor counterpart Arden Cho, co-director Chris Appelhans and Ken Jeong, who voices Bobby in the film. She thanked the crowd for loving the film on behalf of the entire film.

Bighit Music, the megastar K-pop group’s agency, has recently released a statement detailing the legal proceedings and the court ruling. As per their statement, the perpetrator has been fined a hefty 10 million Krw.
On March 31, Bighit Music released a long statement on BTS’ Weverse channel. In their statement, they shared the updates about legal action taken against the malicious YouTube channel Sojang, also known as Taldeok Camp. Popular South Korean actress Park Bo-Young allegedly got involved in a dating rumor with actor-director Kim Hee-Won five years ago. The7is had affected not only their friendship but all their extended working profile. In 2020, an online Korean community spotted them together enjoying some time at a cafe, which fueled the dating speculations more.
The situation worsened, so the cafe owner had to step up to clarify the rumors. In an interview with a media outlet, the owner accepted his mistake and explained that he circulated the CCTV image to show off a little and shared those pictures without the celebs’ consent. One of the many reasons Xo, Kitty is all the rage is because K-culture fans get to live their Korean fantasies through Kitty Song Covey’s story. This includes, but isn’t limited to, being surrounded by beautiful Korean people, experiencing the culture, and living your life to a K-pop soundtrack. You know I needed something to get into the topic of today’s discussion! Anyway, while a lot of the music on the show is quite random, some of it is very strategically placed specifically with context to the show. Of course, that one Enhypen song is the most obvious choice for this season, almost like it was specifically written to shine in this moment. But, leaving that aside, I thought this would be a great opportunity to inspect something that doesn’t need inspecting and try to put reason to something that’s perfectly wholesome by itself, just because I can.

This year, there’s also a new category: Best Choreography.

Krazy Super Concert, the previously postponed two-day K-pop concert, has announced a new set of dates with a revised lineup.
Set for Sept. 14 and 15, aespa, Zerobaseone and Cl, who were on the original lineup, are once again slated to perform, along with The Kid Laroi, Ikon’s Dk, GOT7’s BamBam, AkMu, Exo’s Lay Zhang, Sunmi, Katseye and Kim JongKook, who will emcee the show. Each day of the concert will feature different perfromers, with aespa and Zerobaseone performing at both days of the show.
Along with a new date, the concert is slated to have a new location, moving from Bmo Stadium in Los Angeles to the Long Beach Arena. The inaugural Krazy Super Concert took place in August 2023 at New York’s Ubs Arena.

Aespa consists of four members: two Koreans, one Japanese, and one Chinese. Since their debut in 2019, they’ve been enchanting us with their music. The group’s name, “aespa,” is a combination of “æ,” which stands for “Avatar X Experience,” and the English word “aspect,” representing a duality. The name reflects their unique concept of meeting avatars and experiencing a new world.
Earlier this year in April, aespa pre-released the single “Illusion,” and they will be dropping their second mini-album titled “Girls” in June, alongside their second album “Life’s Too Short.” Additionally, aespa has joined the ranks of Warner Records, becoming the first K-pop group signed by the American label.
