Biography

Knew Glen Campbell during his pre-fame teenage years in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and later danced on his television show, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour (1969).

Brother of dancer Cissy King, famous for dancing on The Dodge Dancing Party (1955).

Professional dancer in the 1960s and 1970s, appearing on television variety shows like The Carol Burnett Show (1967), The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour (1967), and The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour (1969), and touring with stars like Bernadette Peters.

Formerly married to fellow TV dancer Kathie Fishback Anthony, whose parents ran Fishback Studio of the Dance in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where John and his sister Cissy King trained in their youth. John's and Kathie's daughter, Krista King-Doherty, is an accomplished dancer and choreographer, and the family's dancing legacy lives on in John's granddaughters.
