Matt James received an unexpected reaction while getting a pedicure recently and revealed the event with fans.

Matt made history in the Bachelor franchise as he was not only the first black Bachelor.

Now, as a social media influencer, Matt and his chosen winner, Rachael Kirkconnell, are constantly posting photos and videos of themselves and their relationship.

Recently, the Bachelor Nation fan base has been speculating on whether Matt has been posting hints that Rachael is pregnant on his Instagram. While neither has confirmed or denied the rumors, they both have continued to post on their social media accounts.

Matt has also been in the spotlight lately, too, about his relationship with Tyler Cameron and whether or not it’s still as good as it used to be.

The latest share from Matt featured him getting a much-needed pedicure, and the worker was not impressed.

After a two-year hiatus, “Bachelor in Paradise” returned to screens for the first time since 2019. Although this arm of the “Bachelor” franchise has been historically hosted by Chris Harrison, the series now sees comedian David Spade temporarily taking the reigns as the first of several celebrity guest emcees for the seventh season.

“Let’s re-meet the people we’ve already met 100 times,” he joked, as he segued into introductions.

Twenty-three contestants arrived on the beach over the course of six different franchise seasons. James Bonsall, Connor Brennan, Aaron Clancy, Tre Cooper and former villain Karl Smith joined from Katie Thurston’s recent season of “The Bachelorette.” Serena Chew, Jessenia Cruz, Abigail Herringer, “Queen” Victoria Larson, Victoria Paul, Serena Pitt and Mari Pepin-Solis arrived from Matt James’ run as “The Bachelor.

After dealing with more off-screen drama than occurs even down in Mexico, the tides of Bachelor Nation have calmed down and “Bachelor in Paradise” will be back with a brand new season this summer.

Returning for the first time in two years, following the industry-wide Covid-shutdown that halted production last year on “Bachelor in Paradise,” ABC’s guilty pleasure summer series will launch its seventh season on Aug. 16, bringing back a slew of fan-favorite alums who will continue their journey for love.

The new cast is comprised of 19 singles from past “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” seasons — who will then be joined by more contestants showing up as surprise additions throughout Season 7 — at a romantic resort in Mexico.

Chris Harrison has been the source of tension throughout the “Bachelor” franchise after his remarks defending Rachael Kirkconnell’s problematic past, and he has since been temporarily relieved of hosting duty (Emmanuel Acho has been tapped to host the post-finale episode), but his presence was still felt during this season’s pre-taped “Women Tell All” special episode.

The program started with a disclaimer that the episode was “Previously recorded on February 4, 2021,” less than a week before Harrison’s interview with Rachel Lindsay aired.

The episode included 15 women from Matt James‘ season, with Sarah Trott (whose self-elimination early during the season was a primary source of drama) notably absent.

Season 25 of The Bachelor seemed promising, beginning with the casting of Matt James as the first Black Bachelor, as well as the show's most diverse cast to date, featuring over 25 self-identified Bipoc women. Unfortunately, for a show with a long history of problematic racial underpinnings, this season has illuminated that the franchise is still unprepared to handle the complexities of race and the denouncing of racism on its platform. As made evident by which contestants and storylines get screentime, whiteness has again prevailed as the main character.

Each episode this season has been especially hard to watch, as we continually received narratives around the white contestants - and the drama surrounding them - rather than the women of color. It is a shame that we did not get to learn about the stories of the accomplished Black women, such as Chelsea Vaughn or Pieper James, who brought a different perspective...

The Bachelor star Matt James knows when to wet his whistle.  Matt was a guest on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday, Feb. 11, where he played a game of "Truth or Drink" with host Andy Cohen.
